We decided to go to the night market. The weather was perfect. There was a live band, food trucks, and vendors. It's next to 3rd Turn so I grabbed a pineapple bourbon slushy to enjoy with my meal from one of the food trucks. A fun way to enjoy a beautiful spring evening.

We visited here last Saturday evening for a special farmers market event. They had live music. They had food, vendors and taco trucks and drink some beer and all kinds of fun stuff. It was great environment and a good experience for sure.

The Jeffersontown Farmers Market was such a great treat last weekend! We met some family who live in Jtown at the farmers market and ended up staying for an hour or two taking in the booths, enjoying the people watching and grabbing a breakfast sandwich from Sunny Acres Farm. This farmers market has about 20 booths, selling a range of items. There were artist booths, as well as ready-to-eat food, baked goods and produce. My mother-in-law ended up buying a couple watercolor paintings from one artist. We also bought some dog treats, pears, breakfast sandwiches, bread and desserts from an Amish farm and a small squash that my toddler son carried around the whole day like it was his new best friend. One thing, though: While my dog loves the treats we got her, the sellers were a bit much, blocking our path so we would engage with them. Others might not respond well to this. And those sandwiches from Sunny Acres Farm -- they were just what we needed. This farmers market also had live music, a nice touch. I very much look forward to coming back and stocking up on even more great finds.

The pictures on Facebook got me there, especially when I found out someone was serving biscuits and gravy. Sunny Acres Farm had frying pans and burners out making breakfast burritos and omelets too. My family of 4 gobbled it down! Don't forget the bottled water because the sausage gravy has a kick.I also loved the Brewsker coffee. It's available hot or cold brew. We purchased cups of the cold brew and it was flavorful and smooth. Growlers are available for $20 and you can bring it back for cheaper refills. We left with a wooden birdhouse that was beautifully made for $20 and a bag full of tiny, tart apples for $5. Lots of vendors were there with gorgeous fruits and vegetables, some offered sweets and kettle corn and others made essential oils or goat milk soap. Street parking is available for free near the pavilion. If you need a restroom the nearby police station is open.

This farmer's market is the best farmer's market in the area! I've been to many different ones around and while each has their own speciality items, this one keeps me coming back. This market is well priced, great quality of produce and products, with super friendly and personable vendors.Like I mentioned before, the prices are VERY reasonable. You can buy a whole bags worth of produce for less than $15 from some of the vendors. Just think about that for a second...great quality produce at a great price! The vendors are VERY personable! Some let you sample things you are unsure of, they offer tips on how to cook the food and the best ways to help the plats grow. Getting the pro tips from the pro farmers ;)There is food available! This should attract anyone. Why wait until you get home to fry up that sausage you just bought? Buy a sausage biscuit to go and enjoy right now. They have something for everyone and are VERY family friendly! Herbs, produce, meats, bread, fruits, soaps, candles, crafts, plants, music....the list goes on! Bring everyone on your Saturday morning and have a fun day shopping in the open air!

While not the biggest of the various farmers markets in the area, it's absolutely going to be the one to get the best value for your money. The Jeffersontown Farmers Market is a good place to start if you're looking to transition away from big box grocery chains and add more fresh food into your diet and cooking routines. It's smaller and quaint size isn't too overbearing for beginners. While vendors tends to rotate by season and sometimes by weekend, you can usual find everything you'd be looking to cross off your grocery list between all the vendors. But this also means you won't have a variety of options, but everyone usually has a top quality product so it's not a big deal. Each weekend there might be a little different "event" happing at the J-town Farmers Market. One weekend it might be the city firefighters having a chili cook off, live local music guests, amazing gift basket raffles full of local goodies, police appreciation day, CPR awareness event for kids, or even visits from petting zoo animals. One vendor to note who is there every weekend rain, shine, snow, or natural disaster is Barracks Farm. You can miss them as they always have the biggest selection of produce and home made preserves style goodies. To this customer they are the staple of this farmers market. Absolutely the best fruits and veggies you'll ever taste plus unbelievable prices.

Love the farmers market. I HATE the new mayors attempt to close it. Last week there were several vendors ( not farmers) in the parking lot. No place for customers to park. I am handicapped and can't park two blocks away and walk to market. I go for the farmers food not trinkets and junk. If you want to promote that do it another place or time.

This is a friendly, small marketplace with a variety of products, produce, and artisans. It seemed a bit touristy in pricing ($3 for a tomato but the tomato was delicious!!!), $7 for a med sized Mason jar of bread and butter pickles (but delicious and they offered a sample first), $15 for three lrg teabags of a medical brew (samples were offered, to be fair; just didn't know there were only 3 bags ) but maybe that's the norm in KY farmer markets? Am new to the state and LOVING it so am hoping to find a farmers market for the locals
