Brookville Lake is our home lake so we make a lot of trips to here every year. We also make frequent stops at Jay's Midlake Bait & Tackle. Jay's always has what we need including live minnows. They also have some displays of artificial lures and jigs for purchase. The folks that work there are always very friendly and helpful. They also have a good menu in the restaurant side of the business. We are always in very early so I have had the breakfast sandwiches and then I have been there in the afternoon and had the hand dipped ice cream. Both of which are very good. In addition they also have beer, wine, and liquor that you can have with your meal or you can carry it out. They also have bags of ice and we stop in and get them often to ice down our fish as we leave the lake. If you have not been into Jay's or Brookville Lake give it a shot it is a fun place to go.

The staff is always amazing and super friendly. The food is also great. Though everything is great try the smoked chicken salad and fried pickles they are both amazing.

Wow! All I can say is that I haven't seen a place go downhill so fast! When we first came a while back it was awesome (food and service). Now you get to wait for cold food that is only partially correct with no apologies. American hoagie - plain cold no toppings and a sliver of cheese (wish I took a photo but was disgusted ). My wife's pizza hoagie (also cold) came with only one small pepperoni tucked at one end. Again she didn't eat it since it was cold and gross. Our friends who have never been to Jay's had orders that were all wrong and late. I get that it's tough in the restaurant business but this is a sure sure way to go out of business. Fix this place it could be a gem if it were run correctly!

Great breakfast sandwiches to grab prior to a round of golf if you're playing the course right around the corner. Not sure why this place has any bad reviews. Been here multipleTimes and the service and food has always been great. Looking forward to my next breakfast sandwich.

Jay's Midlake Bait and Tackle is something straight out of Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives hosted by Guy Fieri. One of Guy's well known quotes on this long running culinary television classic is "This is off the hook!" Well, the only thing off the hook about Jay's Bait and Tackle are the giant fish you'll be pulling out of Brookeville Lake after your visit! Jay knows just what you need to catch the bass of your dreams. Not only can Jay make sure your fishing stories aren't all fiction, but he can fuel your body for a long day of slinging lines in the lake or bombing drives at the golf course just 2 minutes down the road. Stop by for a LEGIT breakfast sandwich to start your day. After you've birdied 18 straight holes like Kim Jung Un or you've emptied the lake of all trophy bass, stop by for a hoagie, an ice cold beer, and a first class ticket to flavortown!

Stopped here a few times on a recent trip. We grabbed breakfast sandwiches and a few necessities before heading out to fish. Friendly service with good recommendations. Came back the next day for lunch and received same good service. Pulled pork sandwich was good, but the wings were even better haha. BLT w/egg very fresh and tasty. Chicken tenders good as well. Definitely worth a stop there and for sure beats going all the way back to Brookville or Liberty for something to eat.

If you like bombing drives, getting birdies, and winning championships, then Jays is the place to be. Played in a very prestigious golf tournament down the road in the summer. Started all 3 days with a breakfast sandwich and caffeinated beverage from Jays. Food made my mouth water and my golf balls fly. Ended each round of golf by celebrating at Jays with cold beer and hot women. Not only is the service amazing, it's not hard to look at. Thanks for fueling me to a team championship Jay. Can't wait to come back this summer. So in summary, if you want to shoot under par, catch giant fish, or cruise on a boat with hot babes go to Jays. If you want to lose ur clubs in the lake, catch tiny fish, or drive a pontoon with fat ugly girls stay away.

This is our favorite hidden gem! Great place for good drinks and killer fried food. We stop in every chance we get. Bobby is the best! She knows we like bar seats and is always making sure we get one when possible. Love the low key atmosphere and the new friends you make. Check out the tavern side next time your near Brookville Lake.
