Jam Pan Food Truck

A long line and much anticipation. I make it to the front of the line and I'm told they are out of food! But, more will be ready in 10 minutes "I will remember your face your first in line" I'm told. I come back rudely says end of the line. was not worth it. Food mediocrity.

I had the jerk pork over rice and found it absolutely perfect. It does have some kick as another reviewer commented, however, it didn't fry my taste buds. I think the rice helps temper the heat and enjoying a pink grapefruit ting rounds the flavors out nicely. I'm a cabbage lover, but didn't order it as I didn't want to stuff myself at the event i was attending. I will definitely try it next time. the lady who took my order was very friendly, pointing out hot sauces and how to gently invert the ting bottle to bring the grapefruit bits up.Seriously good stuff!

The Jam Pan truck came to an event at UofL. We had the jerk pork on bread, and cabbage salad with ginger dressing. It was a generous portion of delicious jerk pork over sweet Jamaican style bread. The pork was perfectly grilled: nice bark on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. The jerk had a bit of a kick (as it should) so make sure you get a drink. The cabbage was super fresh, nice and crunchy and lightly dressed with a slightly sweet, gingery vinegar sauce. We will definitely find this food truck again.

First time. Won't be the last!!! I had the chicken which was literally "fall of the bone." I was with my friend from Tennessee who got the pork and hasn't shut about about it since (and wanted to slap his girlfriend after the first bite). Great flavor mix with an after-kick. Loved the ginger beer. I can't wait to try everything else on the menu.
