Jack Brown's

When I saw Lexington had a Jack Brown's, I knew that's where I was eating supper. This is my third Jack Brown's. I've been to. It's a consistent amazing experience at each location. I sat at the bar, ordered a beer and got my burger and fries on the way. Service was very goodI get the original Jack burger as a double. And I get my fries all jacked up, which isn't on the menu. It's basically some loaded fries. Every company thing came out piping hot. It was amazing! An amazing place to grab a beer and a burger I can't wait to come back

The cool thing about Jack Brown's is that no two locations are the same, esthetically. The first JB's I ate at was in Birmingham, & it did not come off as a franchise. I've also been to one in Nashville. Same deal. When Lexington got one, I was pretty excited because the burgers are so freaking good. Service has been great all 3 times I've been to this location. However. The ambiance at this spot is a little much... the music & lights that blare outside are off-putting, & the vibe is too "bro" if that makes sense. The decor is also annoying. It's trying a little too hard. I wish the atmosphere was a little more chill. It's not the late 90s anymore. Just the burgers speak for themselves. That's the only reason for 4 stars, instead of 5. Despite the vibe - I'll be back. It's probably my favorite burger in Lexington since Kismet closed.

We've been to this location twice after going to another location in Cincy. The service is always fast and friendly. We're typically there for early dinner and never had to wait for a table.The ambience is cool with all kinds of interesting decor around the restaurant/bar area. They have a ton of different beer selections to choose from, even for people like me who would say they aren't really beer drinkers. I love the fruit, chocolate, nutty or sweet beers and they had several to choose from.The bun on the burger is always fresh and airy, with a nicely cooked patty and whatever toppings you can think of. The sweet potato fries are crinkle-cut and cooked with a slight crunch on the outside. Their JB sauce (mayo/ketchup and some other stuff) goes well on everything.Their menu is small, just burgers, grilled cheese, hot dog but the food is really good.The only complaint I have is both times we were there, door and both windows were open. It got really cold inside. The first time, we arrived to them open and they eventually closed them. The second time, they opened them after we were seated. If none of your patrons take off their coat, with someone sitting at the bar with a hoodie and their hood up, it is too cold. I get the staff may be hot, but (we) the patrons don't seem to be having that issue.

Came here before for burger week and thought I'd come in the regular seasons. To our disappointment, the burger size didn't seem to improve at all. For a burger that's about 14$, I would expect some bigger portion and some better presentation. If your specialized menu is just variations of the same burger, and fries as the only side, you'd really want to wow the consumer.

I enjoyed a terrific bacon cheeseburger at Jack Brown's. The two ground beef patties hot off a seasoned grill had the right amount of crunch around the edges. Even at lunchtime this place gave dive bar vibes. Quick service out of the kitchen.

Absolutely, love this spot. Services was great and the food came out fast and fantastic. Love their fries and garlic aioli sauce. They probably have the biggest beer selection in the city to choose from. Love going here. Came for Lexington Burger Week. Posted my review below. We're from Louisville and loves that we made a stop here for burgers. The Friday night traffic was steady but we found a table right away and despite being near the window we were warm. I was happy for a seat in the wooden bench area. They have the metal chairs and stools that aren't kind to bigger bottoms. We indulged in various burgers. I got the Cowboy burger but removed the BBQ sauce. One patty was plenty and you can add another. Crinkle fries come in a basket. You might want your own. We had a hard time sharing. The Jack Brown sauce was yummy. A bit of garlic flavor. I also loved my 10 oz brown ale. The decor is plentiful! Look all around, including the ceiling. The bar sits in the middle and lights are everywhere. Music is a bit loud for conversation. My foursome enjoyed their food. We debated whether or not the burger was a bit small for the size. It is, but it makes up for it with flavor. I've already recommended this spot to others! Close to UK and Transy campuses.

The word that comes to mind here is scrappy. Great burger - not fancy, just fun. Crinkle fries and pickles. Closest thing you're going to get to a vegetable is the sweet potato fries. It may not seem like it, but there are wait staff here. Sit where you want, pick a burger from the card menu, and a beer from the EXTENSIVE list you'll find from the QR code on the side of the condiment carrier. You may not love longer from a visit here but you'll want to - just to try the next day's special.

The burgers are amazing, dive bar feeling, but in a good way. Great selection of beers.

Great service from the bartender/server. Went after a campus tour with kids and we all enjoyed it. Looking forward to going again for a great burger and beer.
