Impellizzeri's Pizza

Food was outstanding. Had the Special. 10 in. one topping pizza and a draft beer for ten buck!!

We met up with a group birthday celebration.The waitress was amazing. There were 16 of us and she got all orders, drink refills, last minute adds and checks correct. Why the 3 stars?Well, the pizza just wasn't up to what I remembered. Crust was very bland and barely any sauce. So I asked for some garlic butter to help kick it up a notch and it helped but not tremendously.There was a lot of pizza left over so I don't think I was the only one with this view.If I go again, I think I will try the pasta.

This location is convenient to work and has become a go-to lunch spot, especially when we want space to have a working meeting. The crowd is there but not so large we feel bad about lingering at the table.The lunch special is great. Pick a slice of pizza and breadsticks or salad. Slices are huge and more than enough especially when coupled with the other item. Service is consistent. Casual but checks in for refills and bringing you the check. Pay at the front desk.Parking lot is shared with other businesses; however, no issue finding a spot. Small patio. Great for small or large parties and families.

Great service, Anthony, was managing the bar both nights I went in, he was happy to change the numerous TVs to the Buckeyes game. His service and suggestions for both IPAs and food were spot on. Pizza good, lots of cheese, I would suggest asking for it well done based on my first encounter. All the staff are friendly and helpful at this location. The place is fairly large and has a family/restaurant side, as well as a bar side with numerous TVs for watching sports with a large projection screen behind the bar. They have karaoke on Tuesday and Thursday nights as well if that's your cup of tea. Overall good experience food, service, and vibe.

If you have to eat pizza without cheese, there is no better option than Impellizzeri's. They will load up your pie with toppings so much so that you won't miss the cheese. When you see most pizzas without cheese covering them, it's disappointing to see how little they actually put on them. Impellizzeri's, on the other hand, stands out as being very generous. Outstanding job to the kitchen and to the servers.

What can I possibly add that has not been mentioned. Best Pizza and service in Kentucky. Family owned, this pizza isn't made, it's crafted. If I'm in Louisville and I can't get a pie from Benny, it's a wasted trip!

Sunday, 3/2/25 we went to Impellizzeri's Pizza on Blankenbaker Pkwy. There were 15 people in our group. Boris was our server and he had the tables all set up for us when we got there. He went around the table as people were coming in and got their drink orders. They have a very extensive menu, lots of other items besides Pizza. Some appetizers were ordered and our favorite was the Cheese Bread. Then we all got down to business and ordered our entrees. My husband and I shared a Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. There were several people that ordered Lasagna and Manacotti! It didnt take long til the pizzas were coming out. I love that first bite of a whole pizza and the way the cheese strings as you're pulling it off. Our pizza was delicious. One family of our group had a Large Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza. Another person really liked her Gluten Free Mushroom Pizza, but that's as far as I can go. We all had such a great time. Boris really took great care of us. He supplied us with take out boxes and take out drinks. We been there many times, but we are anxious to go back again.

Impellizzeris made my pizza wrong. The manager told me to call Grubhub even though Grubhub didn't make the pizza.Most would offer to redo, give a credit or a coupon for future visit. Instead they tried to blame others for their poor product and worse customer service. Never again.

We wanted this place to live up to the hype so bad! We just didn't love it. The atmosphere and service were fine but the food was lacking. We ordered the famous breadsticks and the taste was okay but they were extremely dense, not fluffy like most people talk about. The chicken bacon ranch pizza left much to be desired. It lacked flavor and we mostly just picked up on the taste of plain ingredients, cheese and chicken. Not sure what was missing but we really wanted to love it!

Food wasn't as good as it has been in the past. I have Celiac, and have eaten at other locations without getting sick, but not this time! They brought out my salad with croutons on it, took it back, and supposedly brought out a "new" one. The pizza was served on the same pans as the other pizzas. We asked if the meatballs were gluten free, they said yes, but they were baked in the same crocks that they use for pasta without aluminum foil liner. This is partly my fault, as I should have paid more attention, hindsight is 20/20. Long story, but the same outcome. This place is not Celiac friendly !
