I recently visited Hyderabad House in Lexington with my wife, and the experience was nothing short of phenomenal. We've explored the entire menu over multiple visits, and it's consistently delivered.During our latest trip, I ordered the Dosa with goat keema, and it was fantastic. The spice level was just right, giving a satisfying kick without overwhelming the flavors. The goat fry biryani was equally impressive, packed with tender meat and rich in spices. For appetizers, we had the garlic gobi, which was perfectly crispy with a strong garlic flavor. We also tried the chicken 65. While it wasn't the Tamil Nadu version, it was still delicious in its own right, with a nice balance of heat and crunch.Overall, Hyderabad House nails authentic flavors, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great Indian cuisine in Lexington.

Dang that dum goat biryani is sooooo good! The nan was perfect! All the sauces and chutneys were amazing. When you say you want spicy they listen and I love them for that! I've never had biryani be so complex and flavorful. All of their cutlery was compostable paper, so that was nice as far as disposables go. My only complaint is the terrible lighting. I already know I'll be eating here a lot, but maybe to go lol

1st time here came with my Indian friend, 2nd time with my dad. This is the only place in Lex that has South Indian food as well as North Indian (other indian restaurants only have North Indian). It's a small place, does the job well enough for me though, has enough seating. Does look like theres more Indian customers in there than other Indian restaurants around, so good sign. Service was good both times. My thing is all the places, bowls, silverware are all fancy plastic that they throw away. And water bottles. It's wasteful and wish they'd use real glasses, plates, silverware, etc. when dining in. Food was great! My friend introduced me to Idli and Vada that we shared, as well as a spicy cauliflower appetizer. For my entree got Onion Masala Dosa, good filling. Everything was good. I like the sauces, a creamy peanut butter sauce and a spicier sauce. Also came with a small serving of soup. Very tasty! With my dad I got one of the Dosas that doesn't have any filling, just seasoning, I think Podi Dosa? Not sure. And Raita which was good to try. It's a unique place for sure!

The absolute BEST Indian food in Lexington! The service is friendly and efficient - they also have one of those robot servers that bring the food you ordered to your table, which was funny! The food was incredibly flavorful and delicious as were our drinks (mango lassi!). The ambiance is bright and refreshing - they have 90s Indian music videos playing on the screens which are cool to watch/listen to! I'm looking forward to my next visit!

So this place opened 2 weeks ago and I finally made my way there today. Nothing can be said about ambiance, as it doesn't exist. It's literally a "shop" with furniture in it and a robotic server that is used for some things intermittently.. and makes no sense. I love giving new/small businesses the benefit of doubt... on the condition that they improve and serve their customers well. Apart from the lack of ambiance, here are other issues with this eatery: - Pricing: Way more pricey than other Indian restaurants in Lexington which actually offer decent ambiance. - Portions: Small! They need to work on their portion size so it matches the $$ they are charging for their food. - Crockery/Cutlery: The disposable plates and cutlery may make it easier for them, but as a customer, it's very disconcerting. Especially with Indian food when half the spices/juices//herbs/gravy remains stuck to the recycled plates. - Staff Training: A very small team of inexperienced young adults that need to be better trained. The ONLY smiling/friendly girl was the greeter/cashier. As for the food, we ordered: Onion Samosas: 2/5.... 5 small samosas in an order with no accompaniment! On inquiring if it came with chutney or something, I was met with a pretty rude "no". The server could've.. should've!.. responded in a better manner. The samosa shell was pre-packaged and overly salty. The onion mixture inside was ok.. nothing to write home about. Masala Dosa: 1/5.... EPIC Disappointment! The one thing I was most excited about was the lamest. The Dosa wasn't done well and the potato stuffing inside was underwhelming... not to mention tasteless. It was like a bit of cilantro had been added to boiled potatoes. It came with Sambhar (0/5) and coconut chutney (1/5)Masala Chai: 1/5... the smell of spices was sooo strong and off putting. My friend who doesn't take sugar in tea had to put in 2 packs of sugar because it was so bitter! Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani: 3/5 .. not the best biryani I've had, but by golly, this was the ONLY saving grace of the afternoon. The chicken was tender and succulent and the spices were just right! Only thing was that the portion size was pretty small and the biryani was dry. It did come with literally 4 spoons of raita and some chicken gravy. Cassata: 0.5/5... when going down memory lane turns into a walk on elm street. Horribly stale cake, tasteless icecream and just sooo underwhelming. Left it alone after a single bite. Gulab Jamun: 0/5 .... 3 gulab jamuns in an order. Out of a tin and stale yet again. Didn't even bother warming them which may have hid the fact that they were stale. Left after one bite.

It used to be good but not anymore. The quality went down the road quickly. There's a lot of some unknown Chinese red sauce in garlic chicken which made it sweet and salt. Yucky taste. I ordered this dish couple of times before and it was never like that. In the last three orders of biryani's has 50% of pieces with some weird bone that goes directly to garbage. My recent order of chicken lollipop is not fresh, and it was saggy in indicating that it was taken from a refrigerator and heated. Hope they realize it was not the only restaurant we got in Lexington and they improve their quality soon.

We went to this restaurant for lunch on April 23, 2024, to get some dosas. They said they did not have dosa batter, so we ordered alternates. It baffles me that they did not have dosa batter yet they made idillies and utapams for us. The fresh-cooked dishes like puri are good and the side dishes that were served with them are good. But they have no clue what sambar or chutney means. They are like water from a dish washer. They looked disgusting, with no flavour or taste. The biryani was good. Again, they gave some stuff as sides, which were disgusting. The restaurant is clean and the service is good. But if you are looking for good Indian food I will avoid this place.
