Hugh E Birs Cafe

A little hole in the wall with lots of history. Friendly staff and patrons. Even a unique stage - a shuffleboard table! We popped in for a quick beverage and continued our adventures through the town. Smoking is allowed, so if you're sensitive to that, this may not be your jam. A little messy and quirky but it's what gives this place character and keeps loyal customers coming back.

Great beer prices. They offer mixed drinks, as well. Hugh E plays music on the weekends. The stage is the shuffle board game. Smal bar, but people dance anyway. Outside seating available. IDs checked. Inside smoking allowed. Friendly patrons and staff.

Place has been here forever, it's a blue collar kinda place live music lot's of biker folks patronize this establishment, contrary to popular belief most of the riders I've met over the years would give you the shirt off their backs.Cold beer nice prices, just an all around Cool place.

Had a great time on my first trip to Hugh E Birs. I heard this place was an institution and that ain't no lie. About one of the best good ole American honkey tonks. The dive bar's namesake is a musician, songwriter and business owner. More than 53 years strong. Band (6 piece) set up on a shuffleboard table along the wall parallel with the bar. Excellent little watering hole. One point- smoking is allowed, so keep that in mind. Ventilation was superb. You could smell it but it was not overpowering, IMO.

Very fun little bar in NA! Always a pleasant bartender and fun patrons. Great prices and good tunes, what else could you ask for? If you just wanna a beer and to shoot the shit, this is a great place for it.

The bartender sings Stevie Nicks while serving beer. Cowbell friendly, highly recommend.

It was cold, and perfect. We instantly bonded as i get it. This IS their living room.I don't want to offend by giving stars to a dive as I think they prefer to fly under the radar (read no stars is best) but this crew probably doesn't read a whole lot.Great dive and I mean that as a 6 star compliment

Hugh E Bir's was always my parents favorite bar and many years later; my brother and i (+ fiends) always find a way to get in there every so often. It never disappoints! Such a great crowd of good ol folks and of course, the Man himself - HUGH E! So cool to hang out where my parents did at our age. Dancing and laughing with old school bikers is always a good time. Hugh E Bir's - the hidden treasure. !!!
