Enjoyed the country cooking and great service. My husband had a hamburger and I had the light breakfast plate.

The food and service are both fantastic! The restaurant is very clean with friendly service. The fried chicken was amazing and we also had our first slice of buttermilk pie-also amazing.

worked up a hunger while traveling from Lexington to Nashville. wanted something satisfying and fast food chains wouldn't do. couldn't have picked a better place to stop along the way. worth a slight diversion off the 65. fresh, homemade food and a welcoming, friendly staff. portions were just right and the price was easy on the pocketbook.

What a gem! We originally went to check out the now closed Taqueria Hidalgo and did not know what to expect when we saw Feed Shed instead. We decided to go in and boy, I am so glad we did! We were greeted by warm friendly small town bistro atmosphere. We immediately realized that we were in for a treat when we had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer - you could tell that they were fresh and the breading was homemade too, not something prefrozen. We had meatloaf with mashed potatoes and greens and fried chicken livers. The meatloaf was good but a little too bready. However, the fried chicken livers were amazing - fresh and juicy with a lot of flavor. These are hands down the best fried chicken livers I had not only in the state of Kentucky but possibly ever. Needless to say, everything tasted great because it was fresh and homemade, leaving you full and with a wholesome satisfied feeling. Also, we had the buttermilk pie and it was fantastic. Oh, did I mention how inexpensive everything is? For anyone going to Mammoth Cave and in need of some good home-style cooking, this is a must.
