Horner Novelty

Horner novelty is a Jeffersonville Indiana novelty and gift shop that has a very awesome and creative Halloween section. Hearing of this special Halloween section me and my wife headed out to check out the shop. Wife and I are helping our daughter's eighth Grade class plan a haunted playground and we needed supplies and decorations for the haunted playground. The set ups and decorations they have here we're all very cool and different from other Louisville aria and Indiana area Halloween specialty shops. They had a very nice and large mask area that was really cool and has very unique and different Halloween mask for costumes. The store is medium size very well kept. The service on this trip was well they helped us find what we needed. Also I left with about 12 cans of silly string some carnival related decoration such as clown horns and other carnival props. Overall this is a really cool place and a fun place to browse and check out all the cool Halloween decorations, costumes, masks and supplies. Me and my family will likely make the short trip from Louisville to Jeffersonville Indiana for the future years to check out this place during Halloween season.

Oh, I miss the old Horner Novelty in downtown Jeffersonville. It was my party planning paradise. But I was happy to hear that Horner Novelty had another location in Jeffersonville, and I got to visit this location last week.Similar to its former location, I found this Horner Novelty to have lots of party supplies and great service. I went to Horner Novelty to find some rainbow products for a special Pride event. I found sashes, boas, window clings, banners, flags and even rainbow mustaches and lollipops. I needed balloons as well and was able to buy a small helium tank for balloons I already had as well as a large mylar rainbow balloon, which the staff inflated quickly.From the moment I walked in, I was asked by staff what they could help me with and directed me where I could go to find these items. I was also happy to find that while yes this store is smaller than its predecessor, this store is organized like the other was, with aisles dedicated to different holidays and party types and a large collection of accessories (glasses, hats, pompoms, foam fingers, etc.) organized by color. They also have a great selection of costumes and small items that you might want to give away for free at children's parties or festival booths. Plus best of all: Horner Novelty has consistently had the best prices of any party supply store I've found in Louisville. It's a bit more of a drive to get to compared to the other store, but it's worth it if you're in need of themed items to make your party stand out.

I'm not going to lie: I miss the old location on Spring Street. It was just way more convenient for me.The new building looks a little dingy from the outside but the store is clean and well organized and the staff is helpful. I don't mind that this spot is smaller--they still have an incredible selection that covers a ton of party, costume, and event needs.In terms of costumes, they have standard packaged-costume selections plus great accessories, a huge mask and wig selection, and make-up.The party supply selection is what brought me in on my visit to the new location. As mentioned in Emily H's review, much of the store is organized by party theme, which really helps you find what you are looking for. Although I had a theme in mind, I spent some time looking at other themes too in case there was anything I could adapt.There's also a great selection of disposable tableware in a wide selection of colors. Although I know it's not an environmentally friendly option, sometimes convenience wins and I need to be able to clean up easily during/after a party. The also have huge rolls of plastic tablecloths (also in a wide array of colors) which is great if you have a lot of space to cover.I still like Horner Novelty, but I confess I'm not sure how often I'll be willing to make the drive since I live in Louisville. That said, if this is convenient to you, it's a fantastic party and costume supply option.

Rented us a NON-WORKING helium tank for $170+. Refused to refund the money. First blamed it on the weather. Then blamed operator error. DISHONEST BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!!!

The entire staff is wonderful but especially Jennifer. You can tell how much she cares about the store and her customers

I was so upset about a Halloween costume and I tried to return the didn't accept it so I don't recommend to return stuff here
