Hoosier Bar & Grill

Very large breaded tenderloin with perfect ratio of meat to breading!!French fries were also very good!A bit dark inside but it is a bar!

My brother-in-law was in town for a visit and had heard about Hoosier pork tenderloin sandwiches. My husband and I decided to give him an authentic Hoosier experience and take him to Hoosier Bar & Grill. I'd been to the Hoosier Bar & Grill with my gal group awhile back and had loved it. When we walked in, my BIL loved the ambiance. If we'd had time, he would have challenged us to a game of pool. He said several times, "now this is a REAL bar!" All of us had breaded tenderloin sandwiches and a beer. The food was excellent, flavorful and juicy with a crusty crust. And the portions were huge. I was not the only one who took part of her tenderloin home for lunch the next day! Our food came out hot and cleary freshly cooked. Our waitress (wish I could give her a shoutout but forgot to get her name) was attentive without being overly so and cheerful and welcoming. I can't recommend the Hoosier Bar & Grill enough!

Hoosier Bar & Grill is good. We went this evening to escape move-in week insanity in Bloomington. I had the "famous" pork tenderloin sandwich and a delicious Bell's Two-Hearted Ale on tap. My dinner dates had the pulled pork and the BLT. All of us were happy with our food. The service was what really stood out. Our server was delightful. She was friendly and helpful and when we told her we hadn't been there before she let us know what her favorite menu items were, and filled us in on their weekly events and specials. I would return to try the burger and maybe shoot some pool Two thumbs up.

Excellent Food ~ Fast Friendly Service. My husband had The Burger of the Month which he enjoyed. Fries were delicious so I had to steal/help him with them. I had a bowl of chili which was very good, especially on this rainy day. Already planning what we'll try next time we're in.

My wife and I stopped here on the way back from a trip to southern Indiana. We had a taste for Pork Tenderloin and this place did not disappoint! The Pork Tenderloin sandwiches here are huge, tender and flavorful. The fries were good too.The atmosphere here is typical "bar and grill"...large televisions, a bar, gaming machines, etc. Service was good but we felt bad for the server because he was the only one there.

Great service & food. Met friends there from Texas and all of us were delighted with the food. Burgers & fries were our order.

The food was pretty okay. Not bad, the sandwich I got came out a bit cold. The coleslaw was good and the french fries were as well. I enjoyed the BLT and my friend had the grilled chicken sandwich. The service wasn't great. We saw some people came in and the waitress didn't come out so they got up and left. It is very dark in the restaurant and the bathroom smelled like dirty feet. The booths they have there were also quite dirty. The floors were gross.

I've always loved the what use to be the signature Reuben sandwich. What we got tonight was such a disappointment. Instead of Swiss cheese it was white American or something else. The sandwich wasn't grilled & wasn't the usual hearty marbled rye/pumpernickel. It's sad to see these changes in what the previous owner worked so hard to prefect & pass on fall completely short of. Will not be re ordering this again. I hope the breaded tenderloin hasn't been ruined. We shall see.

I wish I knew the Chefs name that was working today. My husband brought me home a grilled chicken sandwich with Buffalo sauce and chips and it was outstanding! Keep up the great food and service! You definitely take pride in your business!
