Homewood Suites by Hilton Louisville Airport

This hotel was great for my quick overnight stay on my cross-country road trip. In fact, with its spaciousness, nearly full kitchen, desk space, little living area, and large bathroom, it would've been great for an extended stay as well.Everything was perfect, the included breakfast was pretty standard for a Homewood Suites stay (I do wish more healthy options were available). Using the Hilton app to book, check in online, get information about my stay, use digital key and check out, was super easy andconvenient.Free parking!I saw a large fitness area that looked above-average for a hotel.I would definitely consider this hotel again the next time I'm traveling through the area. We absolutely loved this hotel. We have stayed in a ton of Hilton brand hotels all over the US and this was one of our favorites. The modern details, the space in our suite, the amazing breakfast spread, and the airplanes. Our toddler is obsessed with airplanes right now so watching airplanes come in to land was so special for him. No extra noise for us either in our room being close to the airport. Everything was very clean and we were very happy with our stay. The pool was closed during our visit, but all of the other amenities were well kept and wonderful. We will stay here again for sure if traveling through!

Stayed 16-22 January 2023As stated in previous reviews, the hotel is fairly new. Thus, everything still has a new feel. The room, specifically the bathroom design, is just okay. The way the shower/toilet is split from the sink makes the bathroom feel cramped. You will have to shimmy your way around the door to get to the toilet. It's very small. If you wake up early to go to the gym like I did. You risk waking everyone up when you use the sink since there is no door separating the sink and the beds. The room is equipped with pots, pans, plates, and silverware, which makes preparing a simple meal in the microwave or on the cooktop easy. There is also a full fridge and a dishwasher for easy cleanup. If you're not into cooking, there is a shopping plaza about half a mile away. The gym is really nice. It has everything to get you a good cardio or strength workout if you're into that during hotel stays. The only thing I'd like to see change is the Peloton bike pedals. The pedals have 'Look Delta' (3-hole) clips, which require specific cleat compatibility to use. The hotel can simply change the pedals by adding pedal cages. That way, anyone can use the exercise bike with their regular workout/tennis shoes. A guest laundry, which takes coins, is available. However, it is small with 2 washers and 2 dryers and only 1 of each works properly. There is also a business center with 2 computers and a printer however, the printer didn't work. If you needed something printed, you would have to send it to the front desk, and they will print it for you. The dining area is very nice. Breakfast is satisfactory, especially the ability to make your own waffles. However, the bacon is always done overly dry, and most days, the coffee is very bitter. The kitchen staff is always professional and helpful. Previous reviews also mentioned the planes since they are so close to the airport. Honestly, I was on the 5th floor and hardly noticed. If I was awake, I would hear the planes, but it wasn't something that jarred me out of my sleep. The front desk staff were pleasant, too. Specific mention to the older male night-shift worker (I didn't get his name). Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here.

I really like this hotel. I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights while in Louisville for work. The hotel is across the street from the college football field so you've got a cool view. I arrived before check in and the clerk allowed me to check in early. Once getting to my room, i found that one light switch by the door kills all power to the room. It took me a little bit to figure that out but once i did, i left it on, and it was fine. The room was nice, no complaints at all. Breakfast was very good both days. Eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, and toast/bagel. The potatoes are very good and a nice addition to a normal continental breakfast. I will stay here the next time i am in Louisville.

You can't go wrong with a new hotel! Staff is friendly!! I love good conversation and just generally nice people! Rooms are nice, like mini apartments. Loved sitting outside and just watching the planes fly above us!

Was a little hard to find at first, which is due to the maps not being updated. Very new and updated hotel. I was in town on a production trip for a company I was working with. Needed a room but I was getting work at 2am, the day I was set to check in. I called and spoke with the Manger Russell and explained my situation. Hilton never lets me down, Russell told me that it's not something they normally do but he understood my predicament and said that he would let the night person, Hannah know that I was coming in early and that he would approve me being able to check in at an earlier time. This was amazing because getting off at 2 AM I was very very tired and was still uncertain as to how things work out. I got to the hotel Hannah was already expecting me because Russell had mentioned that I will be coming and I called ahead of time to confirm. Hannah tonight attendant was very helpful and very friendly, definitely made me feel welcome. She got me checked in and I was happy and relieved that I was going to be able to get a good nights sleep before having to be at work 10 AM that morning. Big shout out and thanks to the manager Russell and Hannah for making my stay in Louisville Kentucky at the Homewood suites a great one!Oh and by the way the room was great!

Stayed at this hotel while visiting for a basketball tournament. Everything seemed very new and clean. Breakfast was from 6-9 with many options. There was a nice size gym, the pool area was nice and clean with a first come first serve grilling area. The rooms had all accommodations you could think of. The best part was the kitchen with the pots, pans, and utensils, not to mention the full size fridge. With having to be in town for 4 days this hotel was just what we needed. I'll definitely be sure to stay at a Homewood Suites wherever I visit.

For a hotel at $120 a night I absolutely was astonished by the hotel I stayed at. The views, cleanliness, the vibe and even the hotel pantry was absolutely amazing! Walking distance from Churchill Downs and The football stadium. I do wish there was a bar but the breakfast was great. No issues parking. Features a pool! Cozy beds, great views too! I would highly recommend this place.

Other than the obvious planes keeping us awake, there was no door between the outer bathroom and the bedroom. Privacy was therefore limited and there was no reduction of sound or lights shining into the bedroom.

Brand new property (opened May, 2022). Walkable to University of Louisville Athletic Campus, a mile or so from Churchill Downs, great location for events at these locations. Rooms are well appointed, with full size refrigerator, microwave, and even stove burner. Large size, with couch and small desk. Large screen TV. The staff is friendly and attentive.The only negative issue is that the light switches in our room have been improperly installed - you cannot have the lights on in the bathroom or kitchen independently. To light these rooms, ALL rooms lights (VERY bright overhead lights) must be on - or none can be on. This is very nettlesome if two or more room occupants are on different schedules. This issue was confirmed with the front desk. Hilton/Homewood Suites - you need to address this situation!
