Overflow parking lot that we had to pay $19 to park in.

Some of the smallest king bed rooms I have stayed in, about the same size as hotel rooms in downtown Manhattan. For a single night and single occupant it isn't bad, but I stayed for 2 weeks on business and didn't have enough room to set up my suitcase and move around the room at the same time. There was not a luggage rack in the room, so the table had to serve as the luggage rack rendering it useless as a table to eat or or work from unless the luggage was moved to the bed.

Absolute, total dump. Do not stay here. Tiniest rooms you've ever seen. Nowhere to sit in the room except on the bed or in a tiny, uncomfortable chair that is not even a true desk chair and didn't match the room like they had just bought it at wal mart and stuck it in there. Hot water gets warm but not really hot. Parking lot is tiny and they charge more than the Hyatt and other higher end hotels to park there. And if it's full you have to still pay and park almost two blocks away at a Y and walk through some sketchy area. No breakfast except at the overpriced restaurant and nowhere close to walk for a quick breakfast. Room is near interstate and major roads and is very loud. Person in the room next to me had a dog that kept barking. Worst issue is there was no one at the front desk when I left. I dropped the key and assumed, like with every other hotel ever, I would be e-mailed the receipt. Nope. I've called three times and still don't have it. And this was a business trip so I need it for expense reporting. Just run away. Stay literally anywhere else.

Absolutely will never stay at this location again. I am a club member, and choose to exclusively stay at an IHG, holiday inn/express for work, when it is available. I have nearly always had great stays.Parking is 16$ a car per night. The parking lot is tiny, and sometimes it is overfilled which means you have to park at the ymca nearby. There is no complimentary breakfast. It's a sit down, dining experience instead. I'm not spending my work per diem on something that is overpriced. The room is tiny. From the door to the bed, it is approximately five steps. I've never seen a room so small. They did not offer any shampoo. The only body wash that was available was a bar soap. But they did give me conditioner. Odd. 100$ deposit is required to get your key to your room. IT IS LOUD. I was woken up at 5am by a car driving past who choose to have their bass on the loudest possible. My chest was vibrating. Every time someone opens and closes their door in your hallway, you will hear it and be woken up by it. For goodness sakes, the person next to me opened their blinds and I woke from this. The hotel itself is very very nice. Decorated well. Large workout room.Never again, I'll gladly go to the other holiday inn express two miles away, where they serve gojujang dipping sauce with their breakfast burritos in the mornings, no charge to you.

Room is nice. Got a king premium room and happy with it. Amenities are not top of the line but with the hotel being half the price of the other hotels in downtown area a great bargain to give you a few extra dollars to spend on the bourbon trail.

Great location, near downtown hospitals, beautiful decor and love the restaurant downstairs (so reminiscent of a speakeasy from the '20's!). Only downside was my room was right by front desk and I could hear everyone talking and coming in all hours of the night and my sleep interrupted multiple times each night.

We recently traveled through Louisville and decided to stay here because I love IHG chain hotels.. so it couldn't be that bad right? Upon check in, there was NO parking available. We had to park about a block away in an overflow parking lot. This parking lot was dark and you had to walk through an ally to cross the street to get back to the hotel (fun right?) AND it costs $19 to park per day. I booked a queen bed room single room and I'm not sure if every queen bed single room is the size of a janitors closet or not but this one definitely was. We barely had any room to squeeze between the bed and the TV stand/walls any of it. The room was TINY! And.. our room was literally right next to the side entrance door. You walked inside the door and our room was right there. We heard every time someone walked inside. This almost made me never want to stay on another holiday inn but all of my other experiences have been great. But I will make sure I never stay at this location again.

The Front Desk person was sooo unprofessional. When I was checking-in last night (Sunday) she refused to explain to me about the additional charge, namely the deposit. The reason? Because I booked my reservation with Expedia, and as she stated 'they don't know anything about that'. I had pre-paid with Expedia, and the receipt that they sent me indicated "No additional or hidden charges". When I asked this female Front Desk employee why there is an additional charge, her comment to me was 'Do you want to stay with us or not'. That was the nasriness that I got. I also asked for a wake-up call and that didn't happen either. Even though I needed the wake up call for a critical surgery this morning. Her final snippy comment to me after completing the check-in was 'breakfast is NOT included with that rate' even though I never once asked about breakfast. I got treated like s*** from this employee.

Air conditioner was blowing the smell of human piss in our face. Aggressive Homeless people surrounding the hotel. They lock the doors at night. Manager put us in a new room, after making us prove to him that the AC reeked of pee. He agreed it was pee. He wasn't very nice about it, but I do appreciate him giving us a new room immediately. He wasn't great, but he did what he could. Not his fault. However I would not stay here again. Dirty feeling. "Queen beds" are actually doubles. Tiny rooms. Just kind of an eerie place. Bad vibes.

I am a Diamond Elite member have been for several years. I have never had a issue with any IHG hotel I have ever stayed at until this visit here. I don't expect special treatment, but when a person has stayed at only Holiday Inns for 4 days a week for 11 years one would expect a normal sized room. The lady at the counter was extremely nice and the lady the at checkout was also nice. The hotel was clean and seemed maintain good enough. Their luggage cart is the worst I have ever used anywhere, we were better off with lugging it ourselves. When we walked through our rooms door we had to walk down a narrow hallway then take a sharp left to a room that is 10' x 11' with a king size bed. I wanted to go down stairs and ask for another room, but my spouse asked that I reframe because we really didn't have the time due to an appointment we needed to engage in. I thought we are just sleeping there anyway just do it and get it done. When we returned and settled in that's when we had issues. I never stayed at a hotel where I had to move furniture out of my way to get to a bathroom. The desk was next to the bed and I had to pull the desk and chair out from under the coffee stand to sit at the desk. When you want to use the bed you have to put it back the way it was so you can get to the bathroom. The Ironing board is stored in a built in amore, but the only plugs in the room are on the nightstands or bathroom. I had to block the bathroom door to use the ironing board due to the lack or floor space. In the past I have stayed in some off the worst hotels, motels this country has to offer, but I never had to move furniture to use the bed, desk, or bathroom in my life. I had to place the chair in the rooms hallway to be able to get to the bathroom during the night. I was so upset that anyone would be given this so called room I was going down to complain about it, but my spouse begged me not to. I checked out showing the checkout lady the broken hairdryer we couldn't use that morning, just wanted to make sure I got my $100 deposit back. That reminds me you also have to pay $16 to park on their property. You are already paying to stay there, it seems crazy to pay again for your car to stay there on the same property. I am doing this review here In IHG and I will also place it on all Hotel websites so you the consumer know that if they give you the rooms next to the elevator just go back and demand another room. It is not worth trying to move around the space just to do bodily functions, ironing, or just moving around. I am not asking you to not stay at this hotel, The employees were very nice and the hotel is clean. Just be aware of some of the rooms that should have been elevator maintenance rooms instead of an actual room. This was not a room, it was a closet made to a room. I have stayed at several holiday inns before and most of them have given me an upgrade room due to being a Diamond Elite, but it seems I was given a downgrade at this hotel. I wish I never spent my points or time here.
