Hokkaido Ramen & Sushi

Hokkaido Ramen & Sushi in the amazing south end of Louisville has lots to offer. I've had many different ramen offerings on the menu and they were all very good. The spicy beef ramen will "light you up", hot and delicious. The poke bowls (my favorite), are top notch. Excellent sushi, quality ramen. I don't think a lot of people know about this place because of its location and they should know it is very tasty. Excellent service. The place is generally pleasantly quiet.

Everything I have gotten here is so YUM! The crab rangoons... AMAZING! The pork buns... DELICIOUS! The ramen... SUPERB!!! Love to visit here and try new stuff with my Daughter, Vicky, and get a sweet boba tea to top it all off. What an EPIC spot!!! TRY IT

Delicious ramen in a hidden gem area. We ordered the spicy beef and garlic tonkatsu. The beef rib was delicious. Best dipped in soy with Wasabi. My favorite was the takoyaki. It had a good size of octopus and was hot. The service was quick. This was very appreciated as we're starving coming to this place. We also asked for a side of chilli oil which elevated each bowl. We mixed the beef ramen with the garlic tonkatsu together towards the end, and it was the best and perfect combination.

The interior and restrooms are very clean. I thought that the food seemed a bit pricy at first. I had the Spicy Beef Ramen, which had a lot of protein, which made me happy, and the price was reasonable. I will go again if I have the chance.

Love ramen!! I decided to try this place with friends and it didn't disappoint. I got the spicy beef ramen and it's was feeling and spicy. And we all split apps! I would highly recommend this place. I think Ramen House and Shoku Club are pretty close in the best ramen in Louisville

The setting was great for us in the south end. A nice warm winter evening with friendly staff and lots of light. However, as the west sun set we had to move to another table. I welcome the sunshine though. Now on to the food. My wife and I had a fried oyster appetizer and they were great. Fresh tasting and hot. The sauce was very complementary and I'll have to ask next time what it is.My wife got Bang Bang shrimp and loved the batter they were dipped in. I had the Spicy Ramen. The broth is made at the restaurant according to the server. The Ramen, bean sprouts, bok choy, soft boiled egg and pork all complimented each other. You can order it with regular heat, spicy or fire. I went with regular and the chili paste was garnished along the edge of the bowl. I enjoyed it, but wonder about the other heat as this was all I could take - and I love spicy.

My husband and I came to Hokkaido on their second day open. We expected some kinks would have to be worked out but we were pleasantly surprised. Service was super friendly, fast, and efficient and our food came out quickly. We started with the takoyaki which is hard to find in Louisville and it was delicious - chock full of perfectly tender octopus. I chose the spicy pork ramen for my meal and my husband had a couple of sushi rolls. I'm no ramen expert but this was very good. The pork was tender and the broth was flavorful. The noodles were silky and cooked really well. The prices are really good for the amount of food you get as I took home a nearly full bowl of ramen! We will 100% be back.

This place is awesome. Today was my second time here. The first time I had the poke bowl and it was so scrumptious. It was a good balance of all the different ingredients. This time I ordered the spicy ramen. I got it at the highest spice level and it was perfect. The staff was friendly and the food arrived quickly. The restaurant has adequate seating and is good for small or big groups. This place is a must try! I know I'll be back!

Went to Hokkaido Ramen to celebrate my nephew's birthday with eight other people. We each ordered a variety of appetizers and they came out very quickly. I had the Pork Buns and was expecting something similar to those I've had from Chinese restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised. The bun is taco-shaped and inside is a luscious piece of carefully roasted pork along with some amazing vegetables to compliment the flavor of the meat. I would go back just for these! I then ordered the Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen and it again came out very quickly. The service was both friendly, unobtrusive and fast. The ramen broth was very flavorful, and it was obvious that it was made slowly. Also included in the ramen was a beautiful piece of pork similar to that used in the pork buns, some bok choy, a marinated egg and the noodles. Overall, it was a well-balanced meal.This place is definitely a keeper, and I will be back soon. Hokkaido Ramen is very comfortable and relaxed with excellent service.
