Hokkaido Rame And Sushi House

We have been to Hokkaido many times now and have tried several of the dishes. I will say it has all been extremely tasty and of good quality! Also, the portion sizes are generous and the staff are so very friendly and welcoming and the ambiance is perfect.Do yourself a favor and try some ramen, Japanese curry or sushi. If you've never tried ramen and are on the fence about it, order the "chicken rich". It might just be the best chicken soup you'll ever taste and the chicken is thick slices of juicy chicken breast. Now my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

The Hibachi chicken with noodles is amazing. The crab rangoon however are some what small, and had less filling than some of the other places we have ate at but it was still tasty. All the ingredients are very fresh and food was prepared to order, not sitting around under a heater. We stared off with some Edamame (steamed soy beans in sea salt). Not really my favorite, I did love the Ikigesoe Karange (Japanesse style calamari). They also offer fried oysters that they serve with katsu sauce. I also get a Philadelphia roll, which was a traditional roll. My wife had the Volcano roll, the spicy mayo and sirachin sauce was outstanding. The high light of the evening was the Poke Bowsl, I had the Pork Chashu Don that has a in house sauce that is simply amazing. My wife enjoyed the Chicken Curry Rice which has a house made yellow sauce, potatoes, onions and carrots. We got two orders of the Ramen to go, which was the main reason we came. One was the Spicy Ramen, and it was SPICY. The second one was the Tom Yum Seafood Ramen, a combition of shrimp, crab, mussels combined with green onions and jalapeno. They were both flavorful and fresh made. This place is fairly new to the area, the soft opening just occuring 4 days ago. It is definalty worth a try. Clean environment, and quick service. The staff did a excellent jon being the first week they are open. They were all very friendly and welcoming. They did a killer job for being so new. If you are in Richmond you must give this place a try.

Such a fun atmosphere to dine in; clean, kind and helpful staff. The variety on their menu was fantastic and something for everyone's palate. We had the spicy beef and it was full of flavor and the perfect amount of spice.

Came for lunch one recent Saturday and we were quickly greeted and seated at a clean table in a lightly busy dining area. Our order was taken and we asked for tea and water to drink, tea came immediately but the water only came after asking three times after ordering our food. Our order included appetizers which showed up in a timely manner and were quite yummy. Watching other tables who arrived after us get served food while our ramen bowls never showed up after waiting close to half an hour and being told nothing until I got up and went to the counter to ask was frustrating though. Then after a nearly 30 additional minutes passed we decided to leave and got up to pay for our appetizers when the server flew out of the kitchen with the two bowls in hand, apologizing for the delay and saying something about a mixup in the kitchen ‍ though we think she just forgot to originally put out order in when we first placed it. Wound up taking the bowls to go as we had already been there for well over an hour and needed to go. Once home we dug in to the ramen and found it really tasty, I would likely go again but I wouldn't dine in and only do takeout.

If you want to experience ramen, sushi, or even poke that's out of this world then Hokkaido's is for you. The menu is loaded with options. The staff were incredible and very attentive. The food came out in a timely manner. This is a must try and it's on our rotation now.

I have been to one of these restaurants in another city and was very impressed. Visited the Richmond location today with the same result. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was great. Definitely recommend.

Food was delish. Restaurant was clean and well decorated. Service was speedy and with a smile. 110% recommend perfect experience.
