When it comes to breweries, I want good beer, fun vibes and an easy spot to gather with friends. Hi-Wire definitely offered this, along with being family and dog friendly. When we had friends visit town earlier this month, we wanted to gather with the friend group to play board games. Our normal brewery was closed for the night, so at the last minute we came here. And what a great decision that was!We were able to get a long table, so that a couple of groups could play games next to each other at the same time. The beer we tried tasted great. And we got takeout from Goodfellas Pizza next door. Our kids loved the bright colors all over the walls, and our dog was welcomed as well. They also have games like foosball and soccer pool available if you are so inclined. Hi-Wire has so many beers on tap that I bet you can find something you'd like. And even though it's in the Highlands, it wasn't hard to find street parking nearby. This brewery also seems to host several events, so if you want to make your visit extra special, try to visit then!

Hi-Wire in Louisville is a welcome addition to the Highlands community. I love their big, open space, bright colors, and friendly staff. The bartenders are always eager to help you find the perfect brew. They are patient and efficient. The space is always clean and has a rotating calendar of special events. The addition of pinball machines and other table games makes it a fun destination for friends and families. While there is not a restaurant, Goodfellas Pizza a few doors down, is a great option to pair with your beer. Dog friendly too!

My husband and I visited with a group of friends, stopping by Goodfella's for pizza slices and coming here for drinks and their spooky drag show. The space is huge! Several indoor seats and a few on the patio. While not opened the night we attended, it also appears they have a garage door that can be opened during good weather. Plenty of beers on tap, providing something for everyone plus bottles and cocktails. I appreciated the ability to purchase beer in several sizes, which made it easy to create your own flight. I also loved the apple cider bourbon slushie - had to drink 2!The spooky drag show packed the house and the team did a great job keeping the drink line to a minimum plus the tables cleared from empty glasses. Merchandise available of their logo gear. Snacks available but if you're more than munch you'll want to bring in food from a nearby restaurant.

I am from out of town and I'm trying to go to as many breweries in Louisville as I can. Hi Wire was recommended to me and it did not disappoint. I tried a few of the IPAs and they were delicious.

If you want a full selection of great fresh beers, ample seating, and spaces to let your inner kid out and play - Hi Wire's Louisville taproom could be your jam!Hi Wire is located on Baxter Ave on the street level underneath The Baxter Apartments. Lots of beer hall-style seating, tables, and games like foosball, soccer pool (you heard me!), and shuffleboard are indoors so you can play, rain or shine. The neon murals and bold patterns tell you right away - this ain't your average beer hall.Check out their events - like 'Pizza and Pints', the 'Plant Swap', and 'Paint with a Drag Queen' is coming up this fall! Hi Wire does a great job encouraging and showing inclusiveness in their business so everyone who enjoys beer (including non-alcoholic!) and community will find their vibe. My favorite beers so far at Hi Wire - the Hi Pitch Mosaic IPA, the Pink Lemonade session sour ale, and the Vietnamese Coffee 10-W40 (a specialty brew in their 10-W40 line of releases). Hi Wire does a good job of mixing high-ABV bangers with lighter fare lagers, ales, and sours. They keep a steady rotation of IPAs and traditional seasonal brews like Oktoberfests. I'm glad to see NA beers and root beers on tap as well. There is usually something for everyone here.

Ok, how have I not reviewed this place yet?? I'm glad there is a location here in Louisville now, however it's sits in one of my former stomping grounds before it was torn down. Phoenix Hill Tavern once occupied the spot once upon a time before it was torn down and made into an apartment building with other restaurants. Although it breaks my heart to see it gone, I'm very impressed by how Hi-wire turned out. And if you happen to see me here you may hear about some of my stories from back in that day lol. What originally brought me here was Louisville Ale trail, and then a Yelp elite event in which I got to pick the day of my birthday to come here after that, I came back more times. What brings me back? The big bright art on the walls? The long spacious bar seating? Dog friendly atmosphere? The beer? The top notch service? Maybe it's all the above. My favorite beers have been their Lager and their pink lemonade. There are others I haven't tried yet and I need to. I also need to make note to join their mug club for $20, more info on that on their Facebook page.

Hi wire brewing is a large, trendy and very nice bar that serves ipa and offers unique bar games like "soccer billiards" and the classics like ping pong. Located off Baxter ave in a popular bar area of the city of Lousiville. Decor here is awesome. Very brightly colored with cool murals ranging from hunter s Thompson to a gorilla. Me and my buddy Jeremy came here to hang out and both got a drink. Then menu is limited and full of IPA's. I'm not a huge ipa fan but I did get something called a pink lemonade and it was really good. Usually for me ipa have a strong distinct after taste that turns me off. This one instead of that had a nice pink lemonade taste to it. By buddy loves ipa and got a lager and was happy with it. Drinks are served in generous sized cups as well. Overall very cool place. We went on an early Tuesday night and it had a nice crowd. We didn't get. A chance to try the bar games but I can imagine the vibe and crowd here is pretty fun. Cool addition to the Baxter ave bar scene.

The beer and atmosphere are always amazing. I went in for a drink with my husband tonight, I had the Pink Lemonade and he had the Hi-Pitch. Both were fresh and cold. What makes this place special is the service. The female bartender tonight was personable and friendly. I noticed she went above and beyond to make sure a woman at the bar was going to make it home safe. Much respect for that!
