I come to this coffee shop a *lot. After my 10th adventure, at least, since April, this seemed like a good time to rate Heine Brothers downtown spot. I have been here in the early morning, 11am, and 2pm, and this place always hits the spot.My last visit on a 70 degree day clinched the five stars for me. The service was very quick and friendly, as usual. I ordered a S'mores Cold Brew, and it was phenomenal. The new cream added to the top puts it over the top.Instead of walking straight back down 5th toward my office, I sat down and looked out to Main Street and watched the traffic move. The massive windows that surround this shop make it a real unique setting compared to other downtown spots. Louisville is still trying to capture pre-pandemic office life, but when you're sitting in there watching Main Street, it feels like you're in the center of the city. I loved it. If you're downtown and looking for a nice place to take a breath and soak in the city without going up to a rooftop, I don't think there are many better places than this.As a bonus, there is food here if you are hungry.

I got a decaf's chai fog, it is made by Virginia, it's her creation.Ask Virginia, if she is there to make one of her original, coffee, tea, or chai creations.Virginia is a true artist, tell her what flavor you like, and she can create something off menu that is delicious and special.You can get a bagel or breakfast pastry across the way, to the right of J&J's.

Solid place to do some work with various tables available. I came here on a weekday morning when looking for a place to do some grading. They have two entrances : one off 5th and one off W Main. They are located in the PNC Tower, which is not where the Yelp pin is exactly. I got a simple oatmilk cortado. It came with more milk than usual but helped me to put in less raw sugar There are lots of tables to sit at but seems like only the ones in the back have access to outlets if that's important for you. The music was typical coffee shop vibes at a good volume. There is generally a steady flow of folks every so often but with the high ceilings it dispersed to a white noise for me. I got a good amount of grading in!They have two gender-inclusive single stall bathrooms locked with a code. Next time: I'll look to see if they have any gluten-free goodies to go with the cortado.
