Wow! I am so impressed by this place. We ordered Mongolian beef and the Mandarin chicken with fried and plain rice. They were phenomenal. I feel like I haven't had good Chinese food since moving to Kentucky two years ago. I am thrilled we took a chance after seeing some good reviews in a local facebook group. We will SO be back.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 2/5 - Pork Lo Mein and Assorted Fried Rice. The salt level is unbearable! Both dishes looked and smelled so good but when we actually started eating it, it was insanely salty. The pork in the lo mein was covered in a corn starch and fried but got really soggy because of the noodles. The rice was soy sauce soaked and then salt was added to it so we couldn't finish the dish based on taste.Service: 4/5 - the lady was insistent that we wanted lo mein and not chow mein and we just gave in and got the lo mein. Ambiance: n/a - ordered food to go.Value for price: 3/5 - the serving size was decent but it was so salty we couldn't really enjoy the food.

I've been eating here since I was literally a toddler and it is and always has been the best Chinese food in Hardin County. If you're not doing a pickup order, which you always receive fresh and hot, eating in house has superb service. You just feel at home when there, whether it's your first time or bazillionth. I highly recommend without any hesitations!

I believe this is the oldest Chinese restaurant in Elizabethtown. It is Americanized Chinese food but they probably do it the best of any other Chinese restaurant in the area. The Hot and Sour Soup is as close to authentic as you can get in the area. I enjoy it a lot. Pre-pandemic they had a nice lunch buffet spread but they have not gone back to that very popular draw. The decor is what you would expect in a Chinese restaurant in this country. Although to me the seating does feel a bit cramped. Service is good and fairly consistent for an establishment of this type. You cannot go wrong here if you are looking for good Americanized Chinese cuisine.

I had to drop the review down to 4 stars as their lo mein is made with spaghetti and that's just not acceptable. Avoid that dish, but the rest of the food is still good.

Food was the best in every way . Taste was excellent. Service was 100%. And the ambiance so beautiful . Just wish they had more opening hours. But definitely a 5 star.

I was in Elizabethtown in the middle of the "plague", and at the time, you could only order take out. So, I have no idea what the inside of the restaurant looks and feels like, but to be honest, it doesn't matter. Green Bamboo makes great food. That's really all that matters to me.Let me first say that I don't like Mongolian beef. But I read several reviews saying how great it was here. I went with it. So, let me restate. I never used to like Mongolian beef. It is awesome at Green Bamboo. Tender. Tasty. Terrific. There were six people in my party, and all loved their meals. That's right, 6/6. I mean, that never happens. On a sort of unrelated note, since I was here during the pandemic, we decided to picnic with the meals over at Freeman Lake Park. With picnics, I usually envision fried chicken, baked beans, watermelon. But I gotta tell ya, Chinese food somehow works in that scenario. Try it the next time you go on a picnic!

Buffet is no longer served. We've given this restaurant three chances and it gets worse each time. The best part of the experience is the crispy noodles you get prior to the meal. Mongolian chicken is passable. The lo mein is basically spaghetti noddles in oil. The staff is less than friendly and the restaurant in general isn't cleaned enough. I had to wipe down my chair which was greasy. Sadly not a lot of choices in the area for Chinese food but we will be driving to Louisville or Lexington instead.
