Super friendly, both the owners and the staff! All were very welcoming. The owners have great senses of humors if you get a chance to visit with them. They are very hands on, serving breakfast and covering the reception desk. The other staff are also very friendly and helpful. The inn is filled with a lot of memorabilia and old books. It if fun to look at it all. The nice thing is it is well kept, not dusty or moldy smelling. Lots of old pictures and photos. All the rooms have their own bathroom. Ours was compact but had all the necessaries. The room was comfortable. Like the rest of the inn it had old books and other antiques. The bed had a hand stitched quilt. It was comfortable. The light from the street lamps outside was bright so the room was not dark. I do not know what the rooms on the back were like. The television though small got over 100 channels. The train passed by 2 - 3 times a night so I was glad I had earplugs to help. Breakfast was not included and was $10 per person. It was served family style. Scrambled eggs, waffles and bacon served with juice and coffee. They are located off the Mammoth Cave Railroad trail and within 7 miles of the park. If you are looking for somewhere to stay near Mammoth Caves the Grand Victoria is a great option.

Such a cute, quaint bed and breakfast! Loved the breakfast and sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch. Took a star off since our bed wasn't the most comfortable (dipped in the middle so you would slide down into it) and it's located next to the train tracks and could hear the train come by at night. Otherwise we had a fabulous stay! Convenient stay if visiting Mammoth Caves (15 min drive)

I recommend and would stay again! This beautiful bed and breakfast has everything you need for a comfortable stay and the breakfast will jump start your day for hiking! Some tips for your stay:1. You can request breakfast to be served earlier if you need it to be. I believe it normally starts at 8am.2. If you are sensitive to noise during sleep, request a room in advance at the back of the house. There is a train across the street. We stayed in the 'blue' room and didn't noticed the train at night but we also are accustom to city noises. 3. Do strike up a conversation with the owners. They are very nice and helpful. If your room is missing something - just ask!4. Do walk over to Bell's Tavern and read the historic sign. 5. Do admire how clean the room is. Sparkling!

Quaint, comfortable and cool. Other than the tiny TV we have no complaints. But, who goes on vacation to watch TV anyway? The inn keeper Diana was an awesome host as we were the only guests the first night. Everything was as advertised. 8:30 am breakfasts was waiting for us with a spot set specifically for us each day. The owners Gary and Karen were very nice as well and super hospitable. The house may seem "over done" with decor, but we found it interesting and enjoyable to wander the halls and find something new almost every time. It is a beautiful property located about 15 minutes from Mammoth/Diamond/Hidden River caves making it the perfect location for our visit.

Lovely hosts and antique-decor a lively jumble worth taking awhile to look and enjoy. A lot of love goes into this hotel and it shows. Breakfast is perfect before a day out among 'em, not too heavy but delicious and satisfying. Rooms comfortable and very clean.

Wonderful host and hostess. Charming and very comfortable. Really fine home cooking. The couple that owns this b&b are very down to Earth, inviting and make you feel like your home.If you are high maintenance and looking to stay at a 5 Star hotel, this is not the place for you. If you want warm, fun and a cozy one of a kind place to stay the The Grand Victorian Inn won't disappoint.

Beautiful old hotel with lots of antiques (which we love). Unfortunately, our room was so dusty that I had to keep the door open for ventilation. No housekeeping or bed makeup was offered the 2 nights we stayed. Good breakfast, thanks! However, we were unable to get coffee before 8:00. A Keurig in the lobby area would be really nice. Of course it would be very difficult to maintain this historic property, but the price seems too high for what's offered.
