12/14/2024. Visited here today with the Cincinnati Heritage Program folks. The meal was buffet style. Everything was expertly prepared and presented. The service was very attentive. These operators are serious about hospitality and take great pride in their work and their property. Call for a reservation and if you mention you'd like a tour before dinner they could probably arrange this. A great piece of history hiding in Covington, Kentucky! Middle range pricing and excellent wine bar. You won't be disappointed.

Hidden gem! The ambiance of this restaurant is lovely, both inside and on the enchanting patio. We ate outside and it felt like we were in a European cafe - so pretty. We got to see the rooms upstairs - they were decorated beautifully and this would be a great place for a private party. Our server, Tiela (?) was friendly, and gave us some good menu recommendations. The manager, Jimmy, gave me wine recommendations in the bar. I had the prosecco and enjoyed it. We had fig flatbread as an appetizer. Just the right amount of sweetness. I had the salmon al limone - I love lemon and it was really good - a light lemon butter sauce on ravioli. I would definitely order that again. Wonderful gelato and tiramisu too! I will be back.

No Thanks. We were there for 2 hours, an hour+ of which was waiting for our food. Meatball appetizer was good, but 6 small plates for a family of 8 were placed on the corner of the table along with the app. No napkins or silverware. I went to the hostess to get forks etc... and she gave me 4 (again....8 people) as it was all that was in her cabinet. When I called and made reservations, I was told we would be in a "private room" which ended up being a Costco folding table in a hallway to their booze closet. Bad communication. Other tables were obviously the priority. After waiting for an hour (still no additional silverware or napkins, no water refill, no offer for a 2nd bottle of wine, empty app dish and small plates sitting, we were told our food would be right out. 20 minutes later we walked out. I will never revisit this restaurant nor would I recommend it.

We had dinner tonight at the Governors house, which was our first time there. Our appetizer and our entrées were all very good as far as the taste and the portion size, but everything we ordered tonight was cold. We actually sent the ravioli appetizer back because it was so cold, and they brought us another one back. It was almost as cold as the first one. Service was OK, not great. Don't think we will return.

Oh my goodness, where to start. Cute little place with outdoor seating in the heart of Covington. My daughter and I sat outside on the patio and it was a nice night. Plenty of shade from the building next door and under the umbrellas.First off, LOVE the music. Frank Sinatra and Rat Pack days. I am a fan of Matt Dusk so I thoroughly enjoyed the music through our meal.We didn't venture inside the building very far, but the significance of the history is pretty cool. There is a historical marker which tells the story of John W. Stevenson.Dave was our server and was very attentive throughout the meal. Our water glasses were always kept full. Now on to the food. We started with the meatball appetizer and it was delicious. The sauce is very tasty. Not spicy. Good size for 1-3 people. Three meatballs and three slices of bread.I had been reading the reviews on Yelp and kept seeing the short ribs recommended. I whole heartily agree! So tender, wow, and the flavor, delicious. It was one of those meals that you eat slowly so you can enjoy the flavor. The risotto was perfect along with the carrots. Cooked just right and fun with the different color carrots. My daughter had the chicken fettuccine alfredo and it was very good too. Different flavor to their alfredo sauce, not bland like most restaurants. The sauce was just the right consistency, not to thin, not to thick. The chicken was very tender and had great flavor. The only things she wished was that it would have come with a piece of bread to soak the sauce up with.We probably shouldn't have, but we did order dessert. The bread pudding, again, wow. Sweet but not too sweet. Served warm. Plenty large enough to share. We so enjoyed our meal and experience and will definitely be back, especially to take friends or out of town guests.

Came for dinner and thought the atmosphere was super cute! We got the crab cakes and the truffle ravioli for apps and they both were really good. They had salads but no soups which was a little weird. The entrees were okay overall. I got the penne vodka with shrimp which was okay it tasted more creamy and less like a tomato based sauce but was still really good, but the others got the spaghetti and meatballs with marinara said it was overly salty and the marinara sauce was really watery and not that great. The desserts were good the bread pudding was super warm and the tiramisu was good too but they didn't have cappuccinos which again was weird for an Italian place.

So ours first time there and unfortunately we don't have a really good experience about this place If you like the( mash risotto ) I don't have other word to describe this dish, it doesn't look like risotto at all, they look like grits or polenta , after all said something to the server, she said the first order was sitting for long time , so that means they don't cooked by order ? The second order come out pretty much like this first one , over cook ,I feel like you eating mash potatoes, we never have any type of apologies from any one If you expect something fresh , don't come to this place !!
