Golden Touch

Trying Golden Touch on Washington Avenue. Locally owned by a young couple bringing fresh food and great service to our community. Two blocks down from the road closed barricades easy access and ample parking off street. Hamburger and fried okra for me tonight. Reasonable prices and friendly service. Lunch and dinner available for now. Sunday is "Soul Food Sunday" on the menu fried chicken or fried fish, macaroni and cheese, collard greens banana pudding and I can't remember what else but I'll be back for Sunday lunch. They are open from noon until 10 PM on Sunday. The ding room is big and cozy, with ample seating for 40.

The fried green tomatoes are worth the trip but stay for the Chicago dog. The hand cut fries are fresh and crispy. Great atmosphere and the customer service is prompt and friendly:

Great service and the food is among the best in Vincennes. It's hard to find soul food in southern Indiana, but this place is legit.
