Golden Nugget

We didn't eat last night but we've had the great food before. We were celebrating a very good friend of mine's 21st birthday.It was Monday so no live music, but we did get to enjoy the TouchTunes more than usual.Huge shoutout to Amy Jo for taking care of the birthday boy and making our night special with him.See you next week.

Actually have been back since the whole place got remodeled and it is quite impressive. Before, you could tell it was very old and needed some improvements but, it had its nostalgia. The reason for the 3 stars was more for customer service and the atmosphere. I brought a friend here after having dinner nearby because they never been. Like how the door handle has a hand instead of a handle or a knob. We go in and just like anyone who hasn't been in, in awhile or never been, we look around to check out the place. One customer assumed my friend was looking for an ATM and said it in a making fun of kind of way, had I overheard that I would've said something, I was further up checking out the whole place and the bar. We go to sit at the bar and browse their very limited cocktail menu. My friend orders an Appletini like drink, I order something with the name Garbage in it, came with a Red Bull. Unbeknownst to me I was supposed to turn the Red Bull can upside down in the drink. According to the bartender she didn't want to come off as rude if she were to tell me to do that. I don't like RB anyway. Even though the place was redone and looks great on the inside, the environment is not very welcoming of new/not regular customers. My friend won't be back, as for me not sure.

Love this local bar! Bartenders are awesome - personality and strong pours all the way! Love the decor (I'm jealous of the mannequins boobs... so there's that!) and the food is good too.

Where do I start. This is the place to go if you want great service, great drinks, great times, and good food. I'll be honest the food is decent but you don't come here for food you come here for drinks and fun. Come one guys, there are donkeys out front you can lose with, where else can you find that! Also the bartenders are best Casey and Brian are top notch they are always friendly and attentive. I'm telling you, if you want to go to a place that is fun and friendly this is your spot.

Food is good. Karaoke on Tuesday night is always great! Had the Quesadilla last visit and it was one of the best I've ever had!

Well...we gave it a shot. Apparently this place was a neighborhood staple but recently was renovated into a "cooler spot". First of all, A+ on the classier/dive bar decor. Now onto what matters.There were about 10 people in the whole place. The snarky bartender looks at you standing at the service area as she looks you in the eyes while passes you by to have a conversation with the other TWO people sitting at the other end of the bar. Then when she finally finished talking, proceeds to say something under her breath when we asked to close out. I asked the guy sitting next to the service line, "what's up with her?"He lets me know that she's "always like that". Ooook. The twin girls who were playing live music basically took turns while the other one twin sat & socialized with her friends. It was obvious they didn't want to be there. We talked to people who were there before the "takeover", & were informed how much friendlier it was. They said that they only come because they live across the street.

Great neighborhood spot...all the staff are AWESOME...has a modern design with a great vibe. Pretzels and house made Beer Cheese is the best in the City.

So pleased the owners brought this Gem back to life! Good bar food & live music was fun to listen to. Great location with warm friendly service.

Where should I begin? I live across the street from this bar. The female bartender is great.The male has the biggest chip on his shoulder. He will hate you and maybe if you please him, at that point he will he bestow you a beer, but only a pint.I'm done with them.

Beer is beer. A Newcastle Brown ale tastes the same everywhere. Well almost, a Newcastle at the golden nugget just tastes better because of the fabulous bartenders they have working on Monday and Tuesday nights. Brian and Len are a great team!
