Stopped in to see what they had. A large variety of fruits and vegetables. As always, one has to look carefully at the produce (to insure perfection). I purchased a few things that I would use this week and a jar of BEAR Jam. I love the tartness of this jam --- Blackberry, Elderflower, Apple and Rasberry. Get it? I noticed plants and hanging baskets in the back of the market, but didn't go there. People were very nice and helpful.66

Local market with gorgeous produce and goods! The mums, pumpkins, and produce are stunning. The prices are about what I'd expect and very reasonable on most produce (except for corn). They had a couple of discounted produce sections as well. The inside has some eggs, cheeses, honeys, etc. for purchase as well. Again, these prices are about what I'd expect, but for me, the items inside were priced too high. Kind employee. Love to shop here

Shame on Shell gas stations management corporate and beyond at Saron Drive for not renewing Golden Apples lease this year. Causing this gem to have to relocate to East Main Street Lexington KY.It's a sad town we live in when it's citizens do nothing to stop these mom and pop farm produce stands from being bullied and forced to close shop. This business has brought the best produce out of the state and even beyond to Lexington over the last decade. Each year at the end of July into August myself and many other Lexitonians have enjoyed going to the White tent in the shell gas station parking lot, at the corner of Saron Drive and Man O War. The peaches alone were amazing! Softball size and perfectly ripened. Well to all that are as dissappointed of this news, good news. Golden Apple hasn't closed just relocated. Now located at East Main Street Lexington KY. Corner of Ashland Ave and main. Donato's pizza is across from them. And for anyone complaining about their prices. Go work on a farm just once during produce season. Find out first hand how hard farmers work every year to provide for their families. Not knowing from one year to the next if they'll even have a crop because of curve balls mother nature throws. Then after you experience the work first hand, come back and rewrite your review. Im from Eastern KY. I grew up on a farm that also had tobacco that my grandmother owned. I've worked many jobs during my 55 yrs on earth. Including the military. No job is more physically demanding as a farmers job. I have so much respect and love for all farmers and their families. They're the staple to the backbone to our USA! And like with nurses and teachers never get the respect they deserve monetarily and it otherwise.

I'm appalled by the behavior of the owners. My mother in law purchased 3 medium sized pumpkins. When I saw the receipt for $75 I knew there had to be a mistake!! The store owners refused to return the pumpkins saying we had swapped them out for profit! I even asked they review the camera footage to confirm but they refused. DO NOT SHOP HERE. They will take advantage of you and overcharge.

Desperately in need of a revised return policy. Word of caution to anyone doing business with this place....be sure to save ~all~ fruit/produce (even if its half-eaten, peelings, etc.) in a garbage bag and bring it back to them or they won't give you your total money back or exchange for the same number of items in the case of bad product. This is not good policy for dealing with regular customers who frequent the place on a weekly basis. Surprisingly, they don't require a receipt, but to be safe, you probably should ask for one (they don't always offer to give you one), if you have any suspicions about the quality of the product.
