Friendship Tea Room At the Gift Box

Just happened to meet up with an old friend and found this cute gem! Tried the Christmas in a cup tea and the bread pudding with a bourbon sauce. Delicious. I'm not a fan of raisins, and their were none. The dessert was rich, and you could taste the spices used. Lots of sauce and not dried out. The tea we tried was smooth and didn't need any sweetness to add. Perfect combo! I will come back to try other dishes/teas. Btw, our precious waitress with a cute green scrunchie was very sweet and professional!

Love love LOVE!! A sweet friend took me here today and it was a truly awesome experience! Great food, awesome servers, cozy ambiance & SHOPPING! Aside from this, we met an employee named Judy who helped my friend shop, and is hands down one of the kindest, most genuine people I've ever met!

Nice little tea room on the other side of the Gift Box gift store. Sandwiches, quiche, salads, and soups are offered, as well as dessert. I had a sampler platter which included quiche, chicken salad, mandarin tea salad (which was basically a jello salad), and friendship bread (a sweet-tasting bread). I also tried the loaded potato soup, but I was not really a fan of that. Many of my friends ordered the sandwiches (pimento cheese, chicken salad, or egg salad) and they looked very good. If you like tea you can purchase hot tea by the pot (small or large). I did not try the desserts, nor did any of my friends. Our server was friendly and attentive.

I think I made a bad choice in my selection. Salad with grilled chicken, feta, walnuts, mandarin oranges and purple onions. The chicken was tasteless, had a strange texture, almost like it came out of a bag. It reminded me of very cheap processed chicken. It was $14.99. The salad was not that large, I 'd say there were 6 small 2 inch strips of "chicken". Everyone else I went with enjoyed theirs and their food looked better than mine. I thought it was overpriced for the portion received. My salad should've been $8.00 and that would be pushing it a bit.

Cute little tea room in Delzan Plaza! Best quiche in town, alongside an awesome tea selection and good-quality coffee too. A great place for lunch, bridal showers, birthday parties, etc. The salads and sandwiches are tasty. Everything is homemade, including the fresh pies and desserts! It's worth going in just to have coffee and pie, and you can make special dessert requests if you make a reservation and call a day or two in advance. Reservations are encouraged but definitely not mandatory. This place is awesome!

Most areas where I've lived have had tea rooms, which my wife & daughter have enjoyed immensely; but, we had been told there weren't any in Lexington. This week, a relative suggested the Gift Box Tea Room, and we immediately tried it. It was excellent! Good service, nice menu, wonderful food & a nice decor made this a place we will regularly visit. We had a soup, a salad , two sampler plates & two desserts, plus tea. The prices were reasonable & the gift shop is very nice. Try them both!

Four of us go here for lunch real often and have never had a bad meal even though we usually order different items.The sampler plate is one of my very favorites. The pies are wonderful and we always take a slice home.Give this a try...you wont be sorry !

Strawberry soup was scrumptious, salad was fresh, and the bread pudding with bourbon sauce was indescribably delicious. And the quiche was among the best I've ever had. Oh yes, the service was attentive without being fawning. Plus the prices are reasonable consistent with the high quality and attractive decor. My wife and I couldn't have been more pleased!
