Freshie’s Ice Cream & Soda Fountain

Definitely amongst my favorite ice cream spots in the area, not only for the quality of the ice cream but for the whole vibe in general. The interior is curated to reflect a classic diner/ice cream parlor, even the uniforms match the environment. The ice cream tastes fantastic no matter the flavor, and has the perfect creamy texture. Additionally, their offerings extend to floats and sundaes. The staff is always super friendly, and offer efficient service. Pricing is fair, especially considering it is a smaller ice cream shop. There is some fun seating inside, stools at the bar with the milkshakes and sodas, and a couple smaller tables. Great for small groups but maybe not for large, however there are some picnic tables outside one can sit at. Would definitely recommend

I love freshies! It has this 50s dinner look inside and they play the music of that era! I've cream is served in real dishes if eating inside which is an extra special treat to make you feel like you are in one of those ice cream / soda parlors of years past. The ice cream is top notch. It's extremely creamy and all the flavors I have tried have been so delicious. They also have quite a few vegan options which you don't see with many ice cream shops. I get the mint chip regularly and I'm not even vegan it's just that good! This time I tried their spumoni which had real cherry and pistachio prices in it. It was superb. I also tried the chocolate and it was a chocolate lovers dream! They also make their own sodas here with syrup like in the old days! I'd highly recommend checking them out!

I love how unique the ice cream flavors are here and how there are so many different options for a sundae. The service is always great and the ice cream shop is extremely cute!

First time Wow what's and awesome taste of freshness. They have so much to pick from. I choose the chocolate banana milk shake. Very rich in taste and flavor!

Freshies ice cream has been a regular spot for a yummy vegan treat pretty much since we moved to Lexington 6 months ago. We have tried about half the vegan flavors and usually opt for simple vanilla or chocolate. The ice cream is creamy and delicious. The interior of the shop is absolutely darling. The only downside is that it gets busy and so the drive thru is really hit or miss. It can be dreadfully slow but same with inside. It's worth the wait tho. It's delicious and so cute. Have also tried a few different soda flavors. We love Freshie's and will continue to stop by when we're in the area :)

Larfa here!! I came back for more! This time I indulged in a XL Chocolate milkshake (apparently a fan favorite, according to nice, young, gentle, red haired girl). After paying, I signed up for my $2 off reward (yay!) and made my way to the bar and sat next to a kind, elderly woman named Terry. She had a shirt that stated "Everything is Awesome" (LEGO movie reference). Freshies really seems to attract the LEGO fans!! I say this because last time I visited, I met another LEGO enthusiast. The wait was a tad longer than I wanted, but I didn't mind since Terry was there. As I drank my milkshake in the presence of Terry, a rush of dissatisfaction took over me. This was the moment I realized, that the beautiful, young, charming, Annie (my look alike) was not working. Maybe next time, Annie. Anyways, the milkshake was one of a kind, and next time I plan on trying a soda. And I plan on visiting again. And Annie must be there when I do.

Really cool ambiance. Feels like a timey soda shop with bar seating. Ice cream does not disappoint. Little out of the way for most of Lexington but worth the trip. 10/10 will go again.

Went for the first time because the place always looked so cute. Tried their pistachio ice cream (huge fan of it) and it was half melted and not tasty... in fact it was like Irish spring soap made into an ice cream. Tried my husbands, and was way too peanut buttery it was horrible. To add, the workers were very judgy and unfriendly. It's a skip

We appreciated the friendly staff. We felt as if we took a step back in time due to the wonderful ambience. We very much enjoyed the delicious milkshakes!
