Freedom Hall has been standing for years! Based on that, I'm impressed with what it continues to offer the Louisville community. My happiest memories stem from the Kentucky State Fair, concerts and graduations. Graduation is what brought us there this weekend. We sat inside the main hall to watch the graduates. My family chose the side section and while the seats are worn from the years they offered a lot of room. I was very thankful considering I was sitting for almost 3 hours. The bathrooms offered a lot of stalls and were clean.Freedom Hall events do require parking fees, which are $12/day. It's a one way traffic loop so be aware of where you want to go for parking because if you miss the lot, the circle is a long one to do again! The fountain is a favorite space for meet ups and pictures. We appreciated the cool mist and breeze from it yesterday. Another area offered green grass and trees for shade and more pictures. Some wings are newer than others and offer rental space for conventions and large events. It is what keeps this space funded. Louisville locals will be sentimental as this is where our UL Cardinals originally played their basketball games and where we went for high school team playoffs.

Freedom Hall is an excellent establishment that I've been to numerous times in my lifetime. I'm kind of surprised I've never made a review on it. Anyway we can go to UVA basketball games here when they played at freedom Hall I'll see him numerous amount of concerts in my life for them all and we go to the fair every year and look at the livestock in the different things for them all. This is definitely a nice place

Freedom hall is a legendary arena in Louisville Kentucky smack dab in the middle of the Kentucky Fair and expo center. Originally opened in 1956 it seats 18,865 people for basketball games and 19,200 people for concerts. Was the long time home of local university and my personal favorite team the University of Louisville Cardinals. The cardinals moved over to the Yum center after the 2010 season. Freedom Hall also once hosted numerous huge concerts. Mainly country concerts but has hosted huge names in other genres such as Elvis Presley, kids, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. They have hosted wwf/e ppvs and events. Now mainly they host bellarmine knights home basketball games and odds and ends things like the circus or tractor pull shows. This was once a state of the art facility but it has not been taken care of for years. Very ran down and sorry now. However the nostalgic feeling when I walk around the 360 degree halls outside the arena is amazing. All kinds of great memories and times were had here. The exterior walls has plaques of the Kentucky athletic hall of fame which is pretty cool. They do have plenty of bathrooms and concessions set around the arena too. Overall I'm probably rating it higher due to nostalgic. It really is in rough shape right now and I hope the city or state steps up and restores it soon before we lose this historic building.

The Expo center has several wings of top notch space. Today the kids and I visited the LEGO experience. They were so excited and had a wonderful time. Brickuniverse is the the theme where builders create elaborate creations from super hero's Star Wars to entertainers musicians and leaders for change from Lady Gaga, Bill Murray, Martin Luthier King to Freddie Mercury. There was hands on areas where you build to your own as well as a compilations to be judged. Many special guest builders were on hand to sign photo of elaborate structures and also answer questions. Venders offered building packages of all types. The East wing had ample space to get around. Multiple clean restrooms to accommodate any size crowds. Parking is $8. Well marked and I feel safe. I know this is one of the states facilities source of revenue but still a bit pricey. Many events the expo center offers are diverse. I look forward to returning to the annual summer street rod show among other events.

It's a older arena. Use to be home to the Louisville cardinals now does small events. Seating not bad just Maby get updated. Good part is for something like the Kentucky state fair it's attached to the wings around it. Food wise has pizza, bbq, regular food like pop corn nachos etc. section are numbered so u know where to find your section. Also great Ac for stuff like the Fair

The venue is clean with adequate seating and conference amenities except for food and web access choices. $3.50 for a bottle of water, $10 for a sandwich? Come on that is robbery! The only other choice is pizza and coffee with sweets. With KY being one of the unhealthiest states in the nation let's start serving healthy food at a reasonable price. The prices are higher than airport prices and that is not good. Also, really...$12.95 for 768bps internet? I can run faster than that! But behold you can get 1.544 Mbps for $79.99/ day. Come on that is pitiful. How will KY ever compete in a global market when a main site like the Fairgrounds is stuck in the dark ages and ripping its constituents off on pricing? Kentuckian deserve better.

Not much I can say about a place like this other than it's an event area like other event areas we've been to. We are here for the Life Leadership Major Convention in October 2017. It's got lots of seats, and concession stands with expensive food and drinks--pretty much the standard for spots like this.

Attended Mid America Truck show, and complimentary Kelly Pickler concert at Freedom Hall. Seating was General admission. Was with a party of 6 and we easily found seats together. Had a great view, and all rows had a nice amount of leg room. Sound and lighting was very good. Facility was very clean and plenty of vendors. Ushers were polite. Getting in and out of the Hall flowed smoothly as there were many doors to let people through. Very nice facility.

This has to be the worst place I have ever been for just the parking alone. Trying to filter 10000 people out one exit is just totally absurd. The venues themselves are in need of renovations too. I can understand why they can't pull in big names anymore.
