Fox's General Store

For me, Fox's is a #roadtrip find, a little hole in the wall small store attached to a gas station, and it had a ittle grill inside. I was nearby for an event and told it was the only place to eat. The online menu looked good and when I got there I was not disappointed. I ended up with the fried green tomatoe bacon cheeseburger and a generous portion of hot fries covered in cheese sauce. #yum! And in told I had to have a pale ale ... kinda like a ginger ale. Generous portions and it all also only came to like $8. There were a few tables inside but I got it to go and ate outside at a picnic table cuz I had my dog with me. I might be in town again in Sept and I'm definitely going back. #ReviewsByRL

Was in the area for a few weeks during a job. Amazingly friendly, engaging employees, especially in the restaurant! Great food kept me coming back each day. I wish I had a similar store in my area!

Food tastes burnt and the fryer is clearly not cleaned as much as it should be, the floors are always dirty and the bathrooms are abysmal with smells and stains from the toilet to the sinks. As for the service, a handful of employees are nice but their are a handful that make the experience not worth it. Primarily the owner and his cousin who has come in clearly drunk and has been caught putting his hands on female employees while yelling at them. Over all this place is not what it used to be and it's sad beyond measure.

Excellent service, food,and value. We visited friends in Beattyville and they said they were going to try this cafe. I couldn't fit the double burger in my mouth it was so big. It was very tasty and the crumbled Grippos were a nice touch. My wife had the fried bologna sandwich. One of the customers suggested she have them burn the bologna a little bit and that made it like a campfire hotdog. We got to try the new batch of nobake cookies and they were the best I have ever had. We will be back next time we come out for the Woolly Worm Festival in Beattyville!

Just ate there tonight. Great food, great service. Portion size was very large. Hamburgers were cooked perfectly. Prices were less than one would expect for serving sizes.

Stopped here on my lunch break. I ordered a double cheeseburger for 7 dollars and it was one of the biggest burgers I have ever eaten. It tasted great as well: super fresh toppings and the cheese was melted perfectly. The person that served me my burger was a very sweet old lady; good people work there. The ambiance is exactly what you want from a country store: old stuff hanging on the walls, a grandma cooking for you. This place is a true hidden gem and I recommend taking a drive a little out of the way to visit it.

Great people great food. Cold drinks. One those places when you say I live in Trapp they always say man that place can make the best..... I always say yeppers.

A great little country store with a great country environment. The store has gas pumps, air tanks, serves hot food. If you want to know something about what is going on in Trapp, KY just walk into Foxes and sit down for an hour.
