Forever resorts runs this "hotel". It also runs the "camp store" that is in between the campground & the hotel & cave. That's were your supposed to check in for the hotel?!?! Ok!! I made the mistake of trying to order food there. They had a BBQ going out in front. When I inquired about it inside, my head was just about bit clean off by this little ole grandma looking women behind the counter. She snarled at me"WE AINT GOT NOTHIN HERE NO MORE!!!!" Alrighty then. I left. The next day, (I know glutton for punishment) I saw they had it out again so I asked someone outside about it. (There's no way I'm going back in again to that granny from hell.) This time I got a "no were out of hamburgers" this was 1:30pm on a Sunday. Strike 2. I'm done. I'm staying in the campground I'll take the time & cook something for myself. I just wanted to get something to tide me over but I'll wait before I hand over my hard earned money over to this establishment.

Forever Resorts runs the Hotel at Mammoth Cave National Park. This property is dated. It is worn. It is tired. It is also very convienent. It is 100 yards from the visitor center of Mammoth Cave. When I called for a reservation, the clerk was outstanding, helpful, and very friendly. The lobby is very busy during park (tour) hours. The facility is not big. We opted for the "larger" rooms, which were across the parking lot. Definitely 1960's!!! Do not watch Friday the 13th or Pschyo before staying. Kinda creepy. But...only other options on property require a tent.It was just fine. It was a lumpy mattress, Luke warm shower, and no cell reception. No wifi. I take that back. They have wifi in the hotel lobby. Bottom line, is I still give it 4 stars because its the only option. It worked for everything I needed. The people were friendly. The shower was wet. The room was dry. I should also note that my wife was NOT with me. She would not have appreciated the accommodations. Keep your expectations high for the park, not the hotel, and it will work out just fine. If you need to spend the night to experience the park, don't second guess based on this review. Just treat it for the experience it is.Ok, we didn't have dinner at the restaurant, but the menu looked good. We did have the breakfast buffet. Service was a little overwhelmed and I felt sorry for the host/cashier. Management has the host station and the cash register in two separate areas. Not very effective. The buffet was great. All standard breakfast fare. We were going on the wild cave tour, so I just ate a little, but if the day were hiking or canoeing, you would be able to carb load easily.

Nothing good about this hotel except the location being inside the park. We stayed in the heritage trail of room on July 9th and 10th 2015. The only thing in the room that worked was the refrigerator. The air conditioner was blowing slightly cool humid air making it extremely uncomfortable. They say they are a green hotel yet more water went straight down the drain than came out of the shower head making it nearly impossible to shower due to almost no water pressure. The screen door was almost impossible to lock if you wanted to leave it open during evening to enjoy outside air. They had a sign up front at check in the entire time saying the televisions were not working due to storms, however every room I passed by that they were cleaning I could see working televisions. Ours world turn on and then immediately back off, this tells me the television was broken, not the cable signal going to it. Also on that note half the rooms had flat screens, we had a 20 year old tube television. You could not pay me to stay in place ever again. The park was great, but do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else out of the park, not very far from surrounding towns. This review comes from someone who has traveled up and down the coast from Maine to Florida as all as driven from New York to Oregon and stayed in many hotels.
