Great local diner. Whether it's the 2 jumbo hot dog special or the plate sized tenderloin - you can't go wrong. Wash it all down with an ice cold beer.

This is the neighborhood watering hole. The food is exactly what you'd have at home -- sandwiches served on white bread. It feels like you're a guest in somebody's home or at least their sweet basement bar.I didn't have a chance to take a turn being the town drunk but it looks like the kind of place where you definitely could. The whiskey selection was better than I would have expected from initial appearances.A definite must-see on the tour of Ferdinand.

Fleig's is everything a small town place should be. They don't even give you a menu because everyone is a regular. It's the town bar, the place to eat, the weekly Kiwanis meeting spot, and you can even get to go beer. What's not to love? Ok, it's definitely "vintage" but like everything on the menu is $5 or less. Sometimes they grill out. There's something called a "splatter platter" that includes fried gizzards, hearts and livers. It too is $5. Myself? I had a fried bologna sandwich on white bread with tater tots because my co worker dared me. And you know what? It was damn tasty! Nothing like Oscar Meyer, this is a thick cut slice of something locally made. And who doesn't love tater tots. Everyone here is beyond nice. The prices are from 1962, along with everything else. It's nothing gourmet, just simple food cooked by nice people. You can't do better, really. (I'm kind of serious, I think this is the only restaurant in town...)

Very friendly staff I love this place it's food is a little expensive for what you get but it's cooked well and sometimes that's all that matters. Again great place for lunch or supper

We've stopped here before when traveling and always had a good meal, so we decided to stop again as we were nearby. They have the best fried chicken meals of anyplace around. So we walked in and sat down at the last table available. Seems as though everybody in the area was hungry for Chicken at the same time. Ed came from behind the bar and asked us what we would like. We said fried chicken of course. He got a sad look on his face, apologized and said they were all out. And it was only 12:10. Said they served almost 100 orders, said he would be glad to fix us something else. While we were very disappointed, we decided to order alternatives. I ordered a double cheeseburger and buffalo fries. He brought it hot off the grill and it was absolutely delicious. My wife ordered the breaded chicken fillet sandwich and buffalo fries. Also delicious. The prices are outrageous and reasonable. We had a great meal for $10.00. If you travel anywhere close to Ferdinand make sure you stop in for a meal. They also have a full bar and beer by the case, also at outrageous prices. You can't go wrong stopping here.

Locals only type joint, get the daily special, homemade soup was delicious. Had a club sandwich one time and fried chicken special the next. Fried Chicken was moist and tender, worth the stop.

Yea great place for food and sup-par drinks. Service is basically trash if you're not a regular. Went here today and was completely ignored by the bartender. They had plenty of time to sit at a table of the only other maybe four guests and loudy talk badly about Joe Biden. When I wrote a note about it on the receipt, the bartender took to Facebook to publicly say that I would not be served there anymore. Also the bartenders significant other felt the need to personally message me and call me a "little bitch boy". Idk maybe just treat all your guests equally and actually talk to them and a tip would've been given. Why would I give my money to a bartender who didn't even serve me.

Great food! I especially love their Turtle Soup. The back room is a good spot for club meetings, too.

Friendly, clean and outstanding tenderloin. It's great to support a local business. Highly recommend for a great casual place to eat. They even have fried bologna. Great food and people.
