Flanagan's Ale House

Group of 7 for an 11 AM brunch on a Wednesday. We had an immediate seating with drink orders taken and water glasses being delivered simultaneously.I ordered a salad with addition of grilled chicken with honey mustard dressing, which was quite fabulous. It was fresh and delicious, and chicken was moist, tender, and seasoning was flavor full. My watermelon sour ale was a surprisingly odd combo of flavors, which was a bit of a learning curve as I sipped on it to the end and it grew on me. This restaurant is on busy Bardstown Road, so plenty of people and vehicle watching if one of the big screen TV programs doesn't float your boat.Our waiter checked on us periodically and was very friendly and helpful. Prices were as expected compared to similar venues. Looking forward to return visits.

The best Irish Pub in Louisville!Flanagan's is nothing short of great. There are several areas to sit indoors and outdoors (outdoors is dog friendly). The staff are kind, helpful, and efficient. The food here is really good. I usually order either their pretzels or onion rings as an appetizer and they never disappoint. They serve delicious fish & chips and their fish sandwich may be the best in Louisville. They also serve a great Reuben and a delicious hamburger. This may be the best place to hang-out in Louisville. I highly recommend it.

On a drunken night I met a man who had these wings and he offered me one. I was sure it was the alcohol clouding my judgment but since that night I been craving wings from Flanagan's. So I went back and order them myself and sure enough, they quality was the same. The dry rub wings are so crispy and flavorful. Bar food with high quality is always a treasure. The fries are crispy and delicious.Enjoying these on the back patio during football season is definitely on my calendar.

Pretty on par for bar food. I got some tenders and fries the other day when I was in here. It was pretty good! I love the selection of beer here. They serve a great Guinness which is what I love to have at bars. If you go to o sheas down the street for a Guinness, it costs more there and it's a smaller pint glass. I'll probably be back here more in the future

Both time I went, it to took forever to get service. The bar feel dirty and not much like an Irish pub would feel, don't think I'll be going here again.

I was invited to Flanagan's Ale House for a business luncheon for my local high school alumni association. I had never been to Flanagan's but I knew it was there. My wife and I had frequented several of the restaurants in that area and just had not gotten to Flanagan's yet. Needless to say, I was more than impressed with the restaurant, staff, and food. We had a limited menu due to it being a group event but there were plenty of options on the menu. Most of the menu items are your typical Irish American pub fare but there are plenty of other options. I had heard about their wings so I decided that I needed to try them. They were amazing!!! Not overcooked, juicy and quite succulent. To make matters even better, the wait staff was on top of their game. I generally drink soda water with lime in lieu of plain water. It's normally a struggle to keep the glass full because it's more difficult than carrying around a pitcher. The staff members never batted an eye and kept the drinks coming. I had an awesome experience and we have been back a couple more times since. I highly recommend Flanagans!

We went in and had drinks this afternoon (Monday), two double vodka sodas with lemons. simple enough order. We got limes instead, not the end of the world. It certainly was annoying to be told to sit anywhere with menus and have to go find the bartender/waiter after 20 min, on his phone and not a soul in the bar. We Ordered "thick cut corned beef and cabbage" on the menu to go for dinner and got sliced lunch meat and 4 ounces of cabbage. Um... what is this place doing?

Cycled to this pub to get out of my neighborhood for a change of scenery, and the chicken tenders were the best I've ever had!I've been a barfly for almost 25 years! And because I'm a picky eater, I often choose chicken tenders over more adventurous fare especially in pubs. So I've probably had chicken tenders in Florida, Baltimore, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and all over the Midwest. But these were the best.They're just chicken tenders, I know! But in my experience they usually have a gross strip of fat in them. Not so at Flanagan's. They were simply delish!

If I could give this zero stars I would. We came in. There were a few tables occupied inside and a bunch outside. We wiped down a table and waited...and waited. 15 min. This is the third time we have tried to eat here. Never...again. This is the third time we have not received service!!! Have no idea if the food is good but the service sucks. Went to Osheys and had a great meal

Couldn't decide where to go for supper and I'm glad we came here. They have a fairly decent size patio and my son voted to dine there. The mosquitoes were fairly active tonite. The patio was also dog friendly. Our server made great suggestions on food and drinks. Food had a great flavor with adequate serving
