Can't say enough wonderful things about this winery. The owners were some of the nicest people you could meet. Even better yet the selection of wines and the taste was just phenomenal. Bar far some of the best wine I've ever had. My wife and I love door county winery in Wisconsin and really enjoy the sweeter fruit wines. However the wines here are so much better than those offered at door county. To start the Kentucky diamond is sweet yet light and refreshing. The red dog is amazing if you like red wine and want something a little different. It's slightly sweet yet has an oak finish almost resembles a tawny or a Porto but with a much lighter finish and not nearly as rich and sweet. The blackberry wine was phenomenal it's not to strong and doesn't taste to much like alcohol it has just the right amount of blackberry and is a much smoother finish than the door country blackberry wine. The cherry cordial is also quite phenomenal it has just the right amount of cherry with a brilliant chocolate finish yet it's not to sweet. I didn't find any wine here I didn't enjoy. It's a shame that the wine they make can only be bought here locally at the winery. Well worth the trip from Wisconsin to Kentucky just to buy a few bottles of this wine. By far one of my favorite wineries that seems to be hidden in the middle of the mountains. Even the history of this winery is quite interesting with ties back to Thomas Jefferson and Daniel Boone can't say enough great things about this winery or the people who own it. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

Incredible place! It's hard to say which is more enjoyable: the scenery is picturesque, the wine is delicious, surprising and unique, and the kindness of the people who own and run the business is surpassed by none. A tasting in the tasting room is a must if you're visiting for the first time. Definitely worth the trip!

The history alone is reason enough to stop by. The tasting room is quaint and you feel like you walked into someone's house for dinner. Tommy and Bobbye are amazing hosts. All the wines were unique. They have an Apple Pie that tastes like pie and a Cherry Cordial that smells and tastes like Cherry tootsie pops! They offer dry and sweet wines too. Everybody in our group was satisfied. This is a great vineyard to visit for the wine and conversation.
