The fireplace installed in our brand new home has never worked on demand. After three (3) years of back and forth technicians and parts replacement the last attempt worked for two days (the longest period was 11 working days) they told me the warranty is no longer valid even though they have been here three years in a row to try to fix what they installed in the first place. The office person is unpleasant at best which makes communication difficult. I cannot and will not recommend this company to anyone and in fact highly advise avoidance.

Promised that a $6500 indoor/outdoor see-through would have heat distribution of 50/50 inside/outside. When installed it was barely 100 coming in and 600 degrees going out. So dangerous that it would ignite paper. Took months to get another unit and after 5 months that is still not installed. Terrible service. Not a reputable company

I had my two gas fireplaces serviced after a one month delay. They were not working properly before hand and now two weeks later they are not working again. After several calls and emails, no response. An unhappy customer!

Extremely knowledgeable. Honest Tom shoots a straight arrow. More interested in seeing the job is done right than making a buck. Don't ask them to cut corners or do anything that would possible jeopardize safety, they simply won't do it. Professional courteous and care about you.

We are truly happy with the exceptional customer service from this company . They let us schedule an appointment 3 weeks in advance and even an exact service technician arrival time . Our service technician was Christian - and he did an awesome job . He came at scheduled time - even called us 1/2 hour in advance to say he was in his way . He pinpointed the issue immediately / then spent extra time tweaking a few other issues . he explained everything thoroughly, and even gave us helpful tips for the future. We were very impressed with his knowledge and the time and care he took to address our issue - he took extra time to clean up everything afterwards. We wouldn't even have known he was here other than the fact that our fireplace now works perfectly! Highly recommend

I purchased a fireplace in March 2016 for $6100.00. They were finally able to deliver it in December and it has never worked since they installed it. It is also not the fireplace I ordered.They will not call you back and do what they promised in December, which was to install fireplace properly, give me proper fireplace ordered and have it work. I have contacted credit card company and they have disputed this and taken the money from their account. I am also considering filing a complaint with the Consumer Protection of the State.

It truly bothers me to give this company one star, but zero was not an option. My family just built a brand new home, our forever home. From day one, a fireplace was a must have!! We bought a $5,000 fireplace from this company, with the promise from the sales team that "it will heat your whole home". My husband specifically requested and stated he wanted to heat our home with just the fireplace. Fireplace was installed in May, and in November we had our first fire. Everything was great until 2 months into using it. After ONLY 2 MONTHS OF USE..... we had a chimney fire. The fire department was called and had my husband NOT been home at the time, our brand new home would have burnt to the ground!!!! (My husband immediately recognized what was happening and used our home fire extinguishers to start extinguishing the fire). We immediately called Fireplace Distributors to report the issue. They agreed that we should not have had a chimney fire after only 2 months of use!! The owner himself spoke to us and said they would send someone out to investigate. They did send someone out the following week, only to say "not our problem, call your homeowners insurance and file a claim with them". We had a second company come out for a second opinion. Per this second opinion, and the manufacturer that makes this certain fireplace, our fireplace was a "decorative piece" and "for decoration only" and "not to be used for fires or to heat a home". The second company and my husband went into our attic, were they noticed the tubing that was installed for the combustion air kit, was ran 35 feet to the outside of our home. On the tube itself was a sticker that stated "not to be used any more than 14 feet"!!!! My husband spoke with our county AND state building inspector who BOTH stated "this is a MAJOR code violation of the IRC!" (International residential building code). To date, Fireplace Distributors has done NOTHING to make this right!!! We are currently stuck with a fireplace that we cannot use! Not only is it decorative only, the firebox, among other things were severely damaged in the fire. Please, please, do yourself a favor and choose another company. Your home, your life, and your family's life may depend on it!
