Me and my boyfriend moved back to Indiana from San Antonio about a year ago. We live in Shelbyville and we were told about this place while eating dinner at a Mexican Restaurant one evening. We decided to check it out for breakfast. It was delicious, and we've eaten there a few times since and always have a great experience. We both have been wanting to try some of their lunch specials, but we work and can't get there to check it out. We were off today and decided to go there for lunch because they were having chicken and noodles, and that's one of my favorite meals. It did not disappoint at all. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our meals and even ordered seconds to go, so we could have it for dinner. The chicken and noodles came with mashed potatoes, corn or green beans, and a roll. You could definitely tell the food was homemade too. Delicious! The Farmhouse Diner isn't a very big restaurant and can get pretty busy. It reminds me of a little country diner where all the local farmers and their wives go to eat breakfast and lunch. The staff is always super friendly and attentive too. We will definitely be going back.

Country Diner is a real gem. Great home cooked food from 6am to 1:30pm. The hand breaded tenderloin sandwich was large and meaty. Daily specials like beef manhattan, beans ham cornbread with fried potatoes, chicken and noodles, and great breakfast choices. Plenty of parking with room for semi's and right off the highway. Typically very busy, we arrived at 12:45 and had excellent service.

It gets harder and harder to find a good breakfast place when traveling and the Farmhouse Diner is great!Service is fast and friendly and the food freshly prepared and delicious! You'll find all your favorite breakfast items. Highly recommend!

Great parking big enough for semi's. Was able to adjust the menu to get my favorite. Breaded tenderlion on biscuits and gravy with home fries and eggs all on one plate. Great service and food. Small place and you actually have to know it there. If your driving by give it a try well with the stop.

Found this gem while traveling from Cincinnati to Milwaukee. Menu has plenty of choices, we had the BLT with onion rings, the daily special - which was chicken and homemade noodles, and a smoked sausage sandwich with fries. Food did not disappoint and service was friendly and attentive.Highly recommend!
