You can do checkin and checkout through the app, you don't even need to directly talk with someone. Even if you have questions, they text you multiple times just to make sure everything is OK. Even with that convenience, I did end up chatting with the staff multiple times, and they were nothing short of friendly, accommodating, and helpful!I loved my room. My only wish is that there was an accessible outlet near the TV so I could plug my Nintendo Switch in, but I barely had time to play anyway. They have a nice room and the breakfast buffet was a nice array, though I didn't personally partake. I found Louisville to be quite walkable, and the location of this hotel was close to many cool things.I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting town!

This is a very lovely hotel. The inside is very nice clean and has its own wonderful signature scent piping throughout the downstairs areas. We did smell A LOT of Lysol and unfavored smells up on the floors. The breakfast was phenomenal. Nothing lacking there. Omelettes to order were fantastic. There is also scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, fruit, bagels, toast, oatmeal, yogurt. All the breakfast necessities you can imagine. Fresh coffee, and juice were also available .The evening reception was a little lacking. Celery, carrots, and ranch along with cheese and crackers. There were only one tray of each of those. Typically there are chips and salsa but not while we were there. There was only enough put out for maybe 40 people , not your typical Embassy suites evening reception offering.I would like to comment on the staff. Every staff member was very friendly, very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay nice. Every time we passed a worker they greeted us. High-fives to the staff. Be ready to deal with the outside of this location not being very clean. The worst part was some individuals seem to hang out in that area and approached us. It was not a very friendly approach. Please be aware of your surroundings at all times at this location. I would like to add this location is fantastic for 4th St. activities. We were there for a concert at the Yum center and it is also a nice location for that. It's about a 12 minute walk from the hotel.

Absolutely loved my stay here. The valet was easy to use and it's right next to Fourth street live and the Seelbach hotel. Whiskey row is also not far away and can be a nice walk or a quick Uber ride. The suites were spacious for a party of two and I absolutely loved the layout of the bathroom. Breakfast was ok along with the evening reception but those were just perks. Highly recommend if you need an option in the Louisville area.

The hotel is very nice but the rooms have a very cheap feel. The furniture is outdated and worn. The wallpaper had tears. The TV was very small. And the desk lamp didn't even have a bulb. For a downtown Embassy Suites hotel, I was expecting more. The one shining star, which seems to be more and more elusive these days, was a very friendly and professional staff. I won't be staying at this particular hotel again.

I absolutely loved this hotel. Hotels in historic buildings are my favorite and this property used to be the Stewart's department store from the 1880s to 1980s. I thought what they did with it was super interesting and a perfect blend of modern and old school.Embassy Suites are also my go to in general. Why? Great service, spacious rooms, breakfast buffet with a made to order omelet station (you can get other types of eggs too), Happy Hour, and more. So when I needed a hotel for a conference I was attending in Louisville this was the obvious choice. The best part might be the proximity to everything. The convention center is a brief walk. Lots of food/shops/nightlife nearby and then you're also a short Uber to places a little further and the airport.I'd like to come back to the Bourbon City someday and that includes this hotel !

Nicest Embassy Suites I've been to, very modern and spacious. Jalisa, the front desk manager was really helpful when I spoke to her on the phone to get me a room that was far from the atrium and noisy street areas as I'm a light sleeper.Checking in, they seemed to not know that my room had changed and was not offered bottled water like everyone else seemed to have gotten. It would've been nice as the CVS next door was completely wiped out of everything including water. The room was nice, but I experienced bed bug bites my first 2 days there. I immediately asked for a change of sheets/blankets/pillows which helped. I will say their housekeeping staff is extremely fast to respond. There's only two small trash cans in the room, and could not find any trash cans on the floors or anywhere in the hotel to dispose of trash.Had the free breakfast and it was standard but nice to have. Did not go to the happy hour but heard they had all the well drinks available, but no snacks.

A pretty nice hotel in the middle of Downtown Louisville. Located near lots of restaurants and a fair amount of attractions. It's got most of the perks that should be included in a upper-range but not luxury hotel. Our room was nice. The door to the bathroom awkwardly slides which made it difficult to open and close, though. A TV was included, nice little lounging area, a small fridge. It was okay. Not the biggest room for the price, but it was okay-sized and clean. The view was not the best but okay.I did not get a chance to check out the fitness facilities or conference center. But, the only amenity I really took advantage of was the pool. It was somewhat cold. Located on the bottom floor, not many people were there, and the area was generally nice.Food offerings were decent, but nothing exceptional. Like other people mentioned, not really any snacks. The breakfast food was fine, including pastries, eggs, bacon, sausages, milk, coffee, cereal, juices, etc. They also have a room service option which I had for dinner. Way too expensive for the quality. I had the salmon. It was decent, but a tiny portion for the price. Better off just ordering from a local restaurant. The lobby of the hotel is super pretty. Lovely little waterfall there and great seating. The hotel staff were quite friendly. However, while I was there, they had difficulty with the WiFi, which took away from my experience. All in all, this is a fine hotel that had a pretty great location. The lobby is amazing, the hotel rooms are good, amenities are okay, food could be better. Just go to restaurants if you can afford to; don't do room service.
