Apparently, I am an idiot who does not know how to feel inside a carcass of a turkey for giblets and a neck. Sarcasm people! How do you miss a neck and giblets in a turkey? Not only did they rob me of my neck and giblets and cut out a chunk of the turkey, most real farms include herbs from their garden for brining.This heritage turkey had absolutely no flavor of game to convince me it was raised wild. I have prepared and roasted goose, duck, and wild turkey for over 20 years for my family, and this farm is not authentic.They are a mass prouder that can't keep their facilities straight enough for quality control!Hello Via,Thanks for your message, I am thinking you are not finding the bag of giblets in your turkey? We use a local USDA butcher to process all of our meats, and he packages the giblets and neck from each turkey and then adds them back into the cavity. The package can be difficult to reach and you may have to try from both ends of the turkey. You will also need to wait until the turkey is completely thawed to reach the pack as it will be frozen and stuck inside.We have never encountered a situation where the neck and giblets are missing, but it is not impossible, as each turkey is handled by a person, not machines. Because of your distance, we are unable to get you another package of giblets today. If you don't find them, do let us know. We can offer you a $5 credit towards a future Elmwood purchase. This could be put towards another shipping order or next year's turkey.We apologize for the inconvenience. I have been a customer of Elmwood Stock Farm for many years. I belong to their amazing CSA (Consumer supported agriculture) program. CSA works by signing up in late winter/early spring to get a bag of veggies each week for 22 weeks (May-Sept). Elmwood is an organic farm. They also do a lot of education about their farm and food production. They are honest hardworking people. This year the CSA members were able to use an app to add extra or subtract veggies to their "share" each week. It worked great! I love being able to eat local, eat organic and support local business!

Contacted this farm very interested in their meats. We had sent a few emails back and forth discussing shipment and pricing. I had mentioned I live in Las Vegas and during the Summer months it gets very hot and to add extra ice packs. After receiving peace of mind that my purchase would arrive safe and edible I placed my order. Well, unfortunately my package arrived with one tiny ice pack completely thawed, with completely thawed and very hot to the touch meat. How unfortunate. To top it off I am now having a huge issue receiving my full refund back from this farm. I had different people responding to my emails and I think this may be the issue here as they state I did not ask for extra ice. Either way, a tiny ice pack (big enough for a children's lunch box!) will not keep a large cooler of meat frozen during shipment! Come on. Such a waste of time and money. Stay away!
