Elk Ridge Ranch

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elk Ridge Ranch. Our original vacation plans fell apart, so we ended up closer to home instead, and stayed a few days at Elk Ridge Ranch. We only wish we had been able to stay longer. If we had known how much fun we were going to have, we would have planned to go there from the start!Elk Ridge Ranch offers so many activities: Axe throwing, skeet shooting, golf, gym, the brick pizza oven in the pizza barn, and so much more. They even added our meat to their smoker so we could enjoy a delicious dinner. They were hosting a bachelor party and wedding, and still found time to make us feel at home as welcomed guests. We had plenty of opportunities to socialize and to still have quiet time to ourselves. We loved walking around the ranch, and our quiet nights around the fire.Elk Ridge Ranch is out in the peaceful quiet of the country, but very near several surrounding charming towns. French Lick is a convenient short drive away, along with adjoining West Baden Springs. Both are such cute towns. I highly recommend spending at least a day or two exploring that area.We enjoyed our stay so much, we are already discussing when we can go back! Their accommodations are very reasonably priced. We hope to bring our parents back to stay in their charming little cabin overlooking the ranch.

Some long lost family of my father in law rented out the place for a family reunion and we were able to visit for a day during their visit. My husband and I fell in love with the:1. Remote location2. Out door amenities including golf holes, corn hole, walking areas3. State of the art exercise facilities 4. Lots of beds to sleep in5. Large kitchen and serving facilities6. Pool table and hang out area that includes a televisionIf the need arises to be in that area for a retreat type event, then I will for sure be calling up Elk Ridge to check availability.

I organized an event with around 170 people at Elk Ridge Ranch for an organization I belong to in September of 2018. At the event we had corn hole, ax throwing, golf, skeet, a band and food (hog roast and pizza oven) and everyone that attended spoke of how amazing it was for two days after the event at our annual convention in French Lick. I cannot say enough about how amazing Wendy, Dave and all the folks at the ranch were in catering to all of our needs. They went above and beyond on everything we asked of them, every little detail was covered. The event went off with NO glitches. I would highly recommend any organization to hold an event at Elk Ridge Ranch - you will have a great time and trust me when I say that you will be happy you picked Elk Ridge Ranch!

This could be a beautiful venue if it was being maintained. Light bulbs burnt out, light switches that apparently do nothing, stairway lights that can't be turned on at both top and bottom. In the kitchen, no instructions to operate ovens and stove. Exposed wiring. Shelves in both freezers missing. Sink in kitchen not hooked up but draining into 5 gallon bucket. Website states plates and silverware for 50. Not true. The grounds are overgrown. Garbage in yard and near dumpsters not picked up. Golf holes are in disrepair. If you rent the facility for more than a few days, prepare to bring your own toilet paper because they only provide a few rolls in each bathroom. Lots of potential here, but property needs lots of work. Website states it's a working farm. Also not true. Signage on property states golf, food and spirits. Also not true. If you plan an event here, be sure to visit property and not go by the website.
