Elizabethtown Country Club

I'm guessing this venue is used a lot for events and weddings. I saw a sign that mentioned someone's wedding anniversary.Not sure if Etown really has a lot of options for venues given that it's a small town. Anyway, it's got a golf course, a pool, and a nice-sized parking lot.I came for a wedding reception. They had a bar and an outdoor area as well.The room for the reception wasn't super huge but was a good, open space with a dance floor. We were about 100 people but it never felt like we were cramped.It's kind of an outdated space though. Bathrooms looked old and so did the furniture in the sitting room. It's such a small place. The bathrooms did seem pretty roomy. With the sitting room in there and mirrors with the sinks and some just for make up, it reminded me of the old bathrooms outside the Grand Ballroom of the Student center that they wrecked down a few years ago on UK's campus. Sooo old school. Some of the food was stuff the bride's parents made, but there were some options that the country club made. I wasn't a fan. The sweet tea was not good at all. Not much flavor.I will commend them for having a large selection of bourbon. Oh, I love being in Kentucky!
