El Nayar

Yum! What a great find (thanks to my brother in law) in Washington. Our usual place was closed on Wednesday and we wanted to try somewhere new so at his recommendation, went to El Nayar. There is a Mexican grocery store on the other side of the building and then this restaurant next to it. The menu was in both Spanish and English and they have everything from tacos, to burritos to quesadillas. I got the carne asada tacos, which were 4 for $11.99 and that's a pretty good deal! There is the option of corn or flour tortillas. Great taste, filling and I enjoyed the salsas they brought for the table too, using the verde on my tacos. It's a very straightforward place - not fancy but the food is good and we were waited on promptly. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Great, fast service and authentic food. I highly recommend! The servings are plentiful. I took my lunch home and had it for dinner.
