You pretty much can't beat Mexican grocery stores for tacos, both for authenticity and affordability. This place has apparently changed ownership, there's an el Taco Loco on Preston so I'd guess it's the same people. I've been here before and the two things that I could tell had changed were the prices had gone up about .50 cents or so per taco however the tacos seemed more loaded with meat than they were before so it was a fairly even trade off. I'm a creature of habit and pretty much always order one lomo, one pastor, and one chorizo which is what I did here and they didn't miss. At these grocery stores they bring a bottle of red and bottle of green sauce and I like to try different combinations for different flavors and to see what I like best.

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food then I recommend this place. I ordered one carne asada burrito with everything and three carne asada tacos. Just from looking at the tacos and burrito I could already tell the tortillas were prepared fresh this morning as well as the rest of the ingredients. The salsa that came with the meal complimented it well. If you can't handle heat all too well stay clear from the red and stick to the green. Aside from the meat being a bit too salty for me, I am satisfied with my meal and I will be returning for another serving sometime in the near future.

Five Word Summary: First Place Taco, Need more!Do you ever get that disappointed feeling as you eat a taco that puts your whole taco life to shame? You sit there, every bite is better and you kick yourself for not finding this place earlier in your taco/ mexican eating career. Well that is this place. Taco al pastor had the best seared meat I have ever had in a taco, the lengua is tender with the right meatiness, The toppings are simple and fresh and the tortillas are strong like bull even with the heavy fill of meat and toppings. I look forward to trying their Tortas and other items. A great little place. We have lived in Jtown for 10yrs and this is the first time trying this. Very authentic, very tasty. We tried the burrito. One steak, one chicken and they were very good. Great size. The rice was okay, kind of plain until you mix the beans and hot sauce. The red sauce they give you is HOTT. mixing it with the rice knocked it down just right. The grocery store had a lot of different things. We will be back to try new things.

I'm from California and I moved to Indiana in March, but I work in Louisville. My family and I are originally from Northern California, but we lived in San Diego. First of all, the customer service here wasn't very inviting. I was the only customer at the time. My Spanish is limited, but the lady seemed like she didn't know English. She also didn't have a friendly or inviting attitude.I ordered two things, Gordita de Chicharron (Pork rinds) and a Carne Asada Burrito. The Gordita's masa was too dry for me and the whole thing was just not put together well. The Burrito was rather bland. It just had meat, jalapenos, onions and lettuce, it seemed. I won't be coming back.

They now go by the name Los Tacos Locos. I visited for the first time on 5/5/2020 because every other taco joint was packed due to Cinco de Mayo. What a hidden treasure! The ingredients were fresh and very flavorful. We've been back every other week since then and every experience has been great. It is also part of a grocery store so do some shopping and get some tacos. Win/win!! We normally do takeout but they have a few tables if you choose to dine in. This place is the real deal!

I've had my fair share of street tacos before. But these are the best I've ever had by far. Definitely worth the visit. The place isn't much to look like from the outside or even the inside for that matter. But boy was the food good. Shall be visiting here more often now that I've found this hidden gem.

This is the best Mexican food I have had in this city. It is a small place with no more than 6 tables. However, this was great authentic Mexican food at a great price. Very friendly.

oH mY gOODnESS! YUM. YUM. I stopped in here the other day around 4:45pm totally craving tacos. I looked over and of course the lights and everything were off and they were cleaning. Dang it! Only - Wait!! here comes the owner and sees me look of dismay and asks what I am looking for. I told him I came for the pastor tacos but I could see they weren't serving anymore. HOLD THE PHONE! He totally yells something to his cook asking (I think) if he could conjur up a pastor taco, the cook moves something and says "Si! pero dos" Oh Heck Yes! Give them to me baby! I could not believe my luck - they made me two pastor tacos which blew my mind - they were soooo good! I totally will be back for more but I promise to go at lunch time and not put anyone out asking for favors ;) (Ps - watch out for the potholes in the lot!)

The food is for sure authentic Mexican. Fresh ingredients and taste amazing. It's a little confusing at first walking into a grocery store/ restaurant. My husband and I were impressed and will for sure be back.
