My spouse and I joined my sister and her spouse for a late lunch. We wanted to try a local restaurant in Mitchell that isn't fast food. Here it is! The food is primarily Mexican with a page honoring the American taste buds among us. Both different cultures were honored and devoured. The waiter was pleasant, helpful and efficient. If you find yourself in Mitchell and are looking for something other than fast food, here it is.

This is my favorite restaurant for hunting outings near Mitchell. The margaritas are outstanding. The service is always good and the servers are always friendly. I like the seafood platter except I get extra coconut shrimp instead of catfish. They're happy to accommodate. The inside is tastefully decorated in Mexican motif. I'll be eating at their sister restaurant of the same name in Paoli next week. And, will return to Mitchell in mid November.

It's hard to find really good Mexican food in the area. This place does a decent job at doing the classic dishes decently well. Across the table, the highlights were the sopes for sure. There was a substancial amount of meat and it was well seasoned. Apart from that, everything else was a little lackluster but nothing was bad. The steak taco meat was tough, but decent. The lettuce, tomatoes, and other toppings just weren't as fresh as they could be. The salsa for the chips and salsa was very mild. No spice whatsoever. When we asked for spicier salsa, we got salsa that was heavier on the spicy, but then lacked flavor. If you're in the area and really want Mexican, you won't go wrong here. It's ok and I would eat here again if I was craving Mexican food and staying in the area. But it's not a place I'm raving about to my friends and families either.

We went to El Compadre in Mitchell today.(we live in Bedford but prefer the friendly atmosphere in Mitchell) We were seated and waited onpromptly. I ordered my food with shredded chicken. Our meals were brought to our table relatively quickly. The food was great except I was given beef instead of chicken. I brought it to our waitress's attention and she went straight away to correct the meal. When she brought back my Enchilada and Chimichanga, they were both much larger and perfect!! Our waitress was Shelby and she was wonderful. Looking forward to a return to this great place.

I have lived all over the country and have eaten Mexican food from all over. The food is good, the portions sizes are good. Basically, it's good for what it is, a Mexican restaurant is southern Indiana.

Love love love our Mexican restaurant in Mitchell! We are all blessed to have this place. Amazing food and great service!

Yum yum in my Tum Tum!! Drove down for the weekend to spend time with my family in a Mom-n-Pop town. Decided to order Mexican Delivery to support Local Business. The food was excellent and was very well handled by the delivery girl, considering we had three dogs answer the door. If you ever decide to park there, the best parking is on the East Side of the building in a big gravel lot. Normally, I would suggest particular food but with this Mom-n-Pop restaurant, anything is good! If you like Margaritas, this is the place to go for a Friday evening kick back.

We usually order food to go since the virus. We live in the country so it takes about 10 minutes to get to a restaurant. We ordered and my husband picked up our food. The order had a wrong entree and missing extras. I had to drive back to the restaurant to get our order right. They offered to give us the food we ordered for "free" which was a joke since we had already PAID for it. Word of caution: Be sure to check your order BEFORE you leave the parking lot.

Good food great and quick service very nice waiters I come here very often and never had rude service

The best place to eat in Mitchell! I've tried a lot of different things and there all good!
