We love El Asadero!! You should definitely eat in here even though they do takeout - the attention to detail and amount of color in the decor is so fun and visually exciting. The plate presentation and watching all of the amazing things other people order is super enjoyable. We were there one night and watched like 5 plates with sparklers come out. We've been here about 5 times I think. I haven't explored the menu a great deal yet because it is GIGANTIC and so many things look good, but I have tried:+ Asada tacos: Perfectly adequate lol- Shrimp/fish tacos: Too spicy for me. But I'm very weak to spice+ Birria ramen: My first time having this and it was SO savory and comforting. Really nice and I can't wait to try their other birria dishes!+ Paella: If I see paella on a menu I'm ordering it and I was NOT disappointed. The scallops were my fav and this dish had a huge variety of seafood. Actually I started tearing up while eating it... it's some of the best food I've had period since I moved here from California a year ago.I can't wait to bring more people here and try more things on the menu!

I was quite surprised at how much I enjoyed the food at El Asadero Mexican Bar & Grill.First, what an odd place for a restaurant. It's one of the few businesses in a large outdoor mall type place that's still in business. It felt a bit like going to a ghost town for lunch. That said, I'm glad this Mexican restaurant is here and I hope that it is thriving. The waiter was helpful and, at our request, closed the blinds to block the sun that was in our eyes. I have to apologize because I don't remember the menu items everyone ordered. Mark had a burrito. My friend had steak fajitas and I had a fish dish, which I'm certain was on the lunch menu, which isn't available online. I know Mark and my friend enjoyed their food. My fish dish was extraordinary! The flavors were out of this world. I couldn't have been more satisfied. I think it was a tilapia dish, but I'm not certain. If you're there for lunch, look for a fish dish on the lunch menu. I highly recommend.I wish this place was closer; it's really good.

I saw this place being talked about on social media and wanted to try this out. Hidden away so you would have to know it's there. It's fairly large and going inside it is a big restaurant but not many people. So my first experience is that there were 4 people standing at the hostess station and no one said anything so it was an awkward moment. The girl finally asked how many and took us to a booth. It was dirty and she laid the menus down and my wife said 5he table is dirty and if we could seat us somewhere else. I think she was newer but it's common sense if the table is dirty it still needs to be clean. We looked over the large menu which was overwhelming and they have a lot of seafood on their menu. Since the place was somewhat empty I skipped the seafood since it could be old or frozen. They have table side guacamole so we got that. The chips are corn tortillas which is okay and we're thick. The salsa was very plain and not much taste. The waiter made the guacamole and he used spices but when we tasted it, that was also plain. My wife got a ground beef taco and I got the enchiladas Omar. The taco was plain and the ground beef had no taste. I don't know if it was reheated to they just brown the beef. My enchiladas was chicken and it had a good taste but extremely dry like it's been sitting. The only thing I like was the fruit salad. It could have been the day but I don't know if we will go back as i was overwhelmed with the menu as there was too much to choose from.

Need ed a kid friendly place where we could have an adult Mommy Bestie good time and El Asadero fit the bill! Come solo, date night, family or friend group. I love the fireplace seating in the wintertime too. The food is very fresh with some of the best chicken fajitas I've ever had. Table-side guacamole service is always a plus! Friendly and attentive waitstaff. And MARGARITAS!!

My Y group went to El Asadero for lunch today. The atmosphere and music were very nice. Everyone raved about their food. The service was a little disjointed (new personnel), but ended up being quite good. My third trip here. There will be more.

We just finished shopping at Old Time Potteryand saw this establishment across the street and figured we would give it a try. Once inside, we were welcomed to a decor of pictures and figurines both in brilliant colors. We were greeted and promptly seated to start considering the selections on the lengthy menu. We were very surprised as to how many employees they had working there and how friendly and accommodating each of them was. I got a 3 Enchilada Meal with refried beans and enjoyed every bite. While the enchiladas were not as big as others restaurants, they were perfect in preparation and taste. We will certainly return here to try something else on their menu!

First off, I'll admit to being a little bummed that El Ranchero closed down. I knew the owner and he was a really good guy plus the food was always great. With that being said, El Asadero may be just as good, so it's not like an inferior restaurant took its place. El Asadero may be more of a Mi Cozumel than your standard Mexican restaurant, but I still enjoyed it.I went with my boss and newest coworker for lunch. They definitely repainted the place and it looks more eye-catching for sure, both inside and outside, though you can still see a few Ranchero signs here and there. The menu is a LOT bigger than Ranchero, especially the drinks menu, featuring a plethora of different MASSIVE margaritas. The lunch menu has a bigger variety than usual too. We started with some beef empanadas. They seasoned the beef very well and the sauces were excellent compliments. Of course we got chips and salsa too. The salsa was thicker than most Mexican restaurants and had great flavor. As for our mains, my boss got the birria quesadillas, my coworker got the lunch steak fajitas, and I got the grilled tilapia. We didn't wait long at all before everything was ready. It all looked great and tasted even better. We were definitely impressed with the new place.I have a feeling I'll be taking my lady here pretty soon and we'll be trying their margaritas. Maybe not the massive ones, but the Jalapeno Margarita for me.

The food was very appetizing, but the service was an overall 3/10. I had ricardo Manue as my server, he was rude and when asked to do things that servers should already do, he rolled his eyes or had an upset look on his face. Keep in mind there was a full table, but we were very respectful towards him. Also, while I was reading the check he snatched it away due to a simple mistake he made.
