Was next door at the Louisville Thoroughbred Society when we heard about Ehlers. The shop itself is from the 1860's. Finished the night with a scoop of delicious Bourbon Pecan Fudge.32

Went by after having dinner with friends. I had never been to Ehrler's but glad I finally got to try it out. The location is near other dining spots. Parking can be an issue so keep that in mind. The prices were really good. I paid roughly $3 for two big scoops of yummy ice cream. The texture and consistency were perfect. I'll definitely be back. There is seating inside and they do offer a few other treats like brownies and cookies, which looked delicious. Service was excellent. The staff helped me decide which flavor to try.

During frequent road trips, I've scoured all 50 states hoping to find the best ice cream in America. And I've tasted some exceptional products during this quest. But I got a tip that Ehrler's in downtown Louisville might just be the holy grail for which I've searched. They have a stellar reputation! And yes indeed, the mint chocolate chip ice cream at Ehrler's must be the best in the country! The online reviews were right! Minty but not overwhelmingly so, the perfect balance of flavors and textures, stretchy like only the best ice creams are, it's impossible to fully describe the experience. You'll just have to see for yourself.

Delicious homemade ice cream in downtown Louisville. There are limited flavor options but you can't go wrong with anything. I had a cookies & cream hot fudge sundae. Yummy!! Service was amazing by two friendly staff members.

It doesn't get better than this! The ice cream is made on site, very creamy and full of ingredients! If you visit the area, you have to try this place!

I came here and had a delicious peanut butter milkshake. It was fantastic and if you like peanut butter, I certainly suggest you stop here and get peanut butter shake. The only thing I really didn't like about this place is that they seem to have a lot of ice cream, but a lot of them had chocolate in them. It's hard finding a place that, there is chocolate in it, but seemed like this place didn't have as many options.

It's hard to go wrong with ice cream. My son and I were recently downtown, and when we saw that Ehrler's was so close, we had to stop by.Ehrler's doesn't have a multitude of flavors, but what it does have it does right. My son got a strawberry scoop, and I got cookies 'n' cream. It also has sundaes, splits, floats and shakes. We got a table overlooking Main Street, and it was fun to people watch while we ate. This shop is clean and has some fun pics on the walls too.A great little stop when you're downtown.

It was one of the best unexpected ice cream experiences I have ever had. Service was great. The young lady was very friendly and gave me a sample. And she also provided me with a very an outstanding suggestion which I followed for the bourbon pecan fudge. It was awesome and the cone was completely filled with ice cream.

After driving down to Whiskey Row for dinner and not realizing you need a reservation for just about everywhere, we made the adult decision to eat ice cream for dinner. Ehrler's has a fairly small, but specialized menu of treats. The portions were ginormous and I don't think either of us was able to fully finish our food. I opted for the bourbon pecan fudge hot fudge sundae and my friend got both an orange shake and a bourbon sundae. The seating and decor is super cute! It's obvious why they've been a local staple for over 150 years.
