Drake's - Florence

Been to Drake's several times before and it's typically where I stop for lunch when I'm in Florence. They have great smash burgers as well as other delicious items (I like the fish tacos). My go-to is the Juicy Lucy - two mini burgers with a garlic aioli. They say they're mini, but they're still very filling. I really like the sweet potato fries, but they're more known for their side of tots. They also have sushi, which may sound weird for a burger place, but it is genuinely good. If you're a sushi snob maybe not, but if you're a novice like me you'll really like it. They have a sushi chef specifically to make it. Atmosphere is very much sports bar. It always reminded me of an elevated Applebees. Sometimes it's self-seating, other times there will be a wait. Just depends on the time of day you're going.

Wish I remembered the bar tenders name she was very nice. I went here to place a to go order in Christmas Eve and everyone was extremely nice and polite even working on Christmas Eve. We sat at the bar drank a beer while waiting in our food and it was quick. My only complaint was the pretzel cheese being cold and down right not good. Even warmed up something was messed up about it. Beer cheese or not it was gross. The pretzels are good though. The burger was also good my only complaint was it seemed to be too cooked. Still tasty and the fries crispy.

Terrific choice for lunch this afternoon. Came in alone and sat at the bar for a good meal and Jordan, the bartender, was so pleasant! I ordered a patty melt with fries and lots of ice tea l, and it did not disappoint. That patty melt is consistently delicious! Service was friendly and efficient. Thanks Jordan for your great service! Solid five stars today!

Great service! Food was good. Healthy options and has options for gluten and dairy free.

INCONSISTENT!!I ended up going here twice in one day but had different experiences. For lunch I had the Drake's Patty Melt with chicken and BLT Salad. The server was attentive throughout the experience. The Patty Melt was delicious! The buttery bread and horseradish-parmesan mayo really made that sandwich. Being walking distance from the hotel I went back for dinner. This time the server forgot about me after bringing my water. I went to the bathroom and everything was cleared off my table. I then had to wait awhile again for the server to notice and remake my drinks. I ordered the BBQ burger with chicken and Broccoli. The burger was missing toppings so had to wait for the server again. The chicken burger was good. I ended up coming back again a couple days later and had the first server again and had a similar experience to the first. Overall, the place is inconsistent but the food is pretty good.

Visited this place because it was recommended from some friends. I tried the BBQ burger and it was pretty good. My service was great. Drakes is also a good place to watch sporting events as well

OUTSTANDING!! As a couple who was traveling and wanting to watch our hometown team, we were greeted warmly and sat right in front of the tvs, bar staff turned the channel with ZERO complaint or eye rolling. And.... Who would have thought- sushi at a sports bar?!?!? We ordered juicy Lucy minis, the crab Rangoon roll and the yum yum roll. Everything was delicious!!! The burgers were juicy (like their name) and the fries were perfection. I've never had anything like the crab Rangoon roll- it was amazing!!! The yum yum roll was yummy (see what I did there?). Turns out, we liked Drakes so much, we went back the next day. Mini fish sandwiches, crab Rangoon roll (again) and the surf and turf roll. All were perfect (and I don't use that word loosely ). Service both days was stellar- friendly, fun and attentive. Mike and Erica were fantastic!!!!!!Lots of other things on the menu. Sadly we have to go home before they open tomorrow or we'd be back!!

Large tasty burgers, large sides as well. Good service, great atmosphere. Lots of televisions. Small parking area though.

I come here often. It is always excellent. Tried to get a couple new food items today and they didn't disappoint! Our server was very nice and she made sure we had refills without asking, our food didn't take a long time and the place was very clean. It wasn't crowded so we didn't have to wait!

This place was hopping last night. The atmosphere was incredible and I didn't go to the back bar. I can only imagine it was better.I ordered at the bar to go. My bartender was spot on she was friendly and was on it.My food was good but I think I may have been missing something. The southern chicken sandwich was great and yes better than Chick-fil-A.. My Mac n Cheese side was missing the cheese. You can see in the photo. Maybe she thought I order just noodles not sure. The loaded fries would be better eaten in. I got a small side of ranch for a huge portion for tator tots. It was very dry. Tasty but dry.
