Double H BBQ

Awesome food, excellent service!! Coleslaw was great, pulled pork, and the Brisket was great!!

Don't sleep on this BBQ joint! Ordered the pulled pork with the green beans and jacked mac and cheese. The pulled pork was flavorful and moist. They had three sauces including regular, spicy and Alabama style white sauce. The smoked meatloaf was the star of the show! It was delectable!

I had never visited Lexington before and something I always look for when I visit a new place is BBQ. I definitely wanted to try some Kentucky BBQ before heading back over the river where good sweet tea is a rare calamity. I was very disappointed that when I arrived, there was no more sweet tea. But what really made it worse was when I was told they were not going to make anymore because they closed in an hour (I think he meant 2 hours) and he had to make 3 gallons. Looks like he would have done fine since the place was busy the whole time I was there and sweet tea is not expensive to make. I had to take off a star for that. Service after that though was pretty good as they gave me a hard time about being a Bama fan and I reminded them how the Cats lost in their 1st game of the SEC tournament. Also, they gave me as much sauce as I wanted. I requested bread with my meal and they put some sourdough on the grill and brought it to me. I just didn't understand the deal with the sweet tea though. Though it was a rough start, things got better, though this was an unique BBQ place.I went with the sampler with ribs, pulled pork, brisket, mac and cheese, and beans. The ribs and pork were really good and the most normal thing about BBQ. The brisket was more like a prime rib in au jus. What I liked about it was that they just didn't give me a dried, thin slice of beef but kept it moist and wet. That was a brilliant idea other BBQ places need to adopt. There are 3 sauces - Alabama white, mild, and spicy. The Alabama white was close to a horseradish. The spicy was a vinegar with lots of spice added to it. I liked it the best. But for some reason, I absolutely hated the mild. It was a ketchup base but whatever was added to it, I did not like. I almost want to say it was celery or celery salt.The beans were very sweet as an ingredient was slices of peaches. I liked it! The mac and cheese I didn't really care for because it seemed like it was nacho cheese with herbs added. The photos of potato salad looked yummy and I must have been right because they were out when I arrived.Double H has some things that separate them from the average BBQ joint. Some things I liked and some I didn't. But Double H is worth a try.

Love me some brisket and this didn't disappoint. Get the spicy Mac n cheese as a side. Delicious with a real kick. Fast, friendly, fun, and clean. A+ for some good food

Really enjoyed my first visit today. It was recommended to me that I get the stuffed pork chop. Only thing I would change is the name. I'd call "the triple pig", or "pig in a pig in a pig", or "pigs in a pig blanket. OK. "Stuffed Pork Chop" is fine. It's sausage, stuffed in a pork chop then wrapped in bacon. How much better than that can you get? It was smokey, perfectly cooked to be moist and tender. It was full of flavor. I got green beans and tots for the sides. Both were good and added to the meal. Service was friendly and fast. Price was reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Looking forward to trying the wings. I think it's might be my new BBQ joint!

I highly recommend this extremely tasty bbq in Lexington. The gentleman behind the counter were welcoming, friendly, and helpful in recommending lunch suggestions. We came especially for their peach baked beans and they did not disappoint my 13 yo, who chose this place based on them! We ordered two pulled pork sandwiches and the smoked chicken quarter special. The pork was delicious, bbq sauces were great but the Alabama sauce--which we were treated to by the counter gentleman-- was spectacular. Thank you HH!

We were having people over and decided to try Double H as we had heard good things about them. Definitely true!We had questions and they promptly returned phone calls. Were very helpful and honest with info. Pickup was easy and they were great to deal with. Now to the food: the pulled pork was wonderful. No gamey taste, unlike a lot of pork lately. Thoroughly cleaned of fat and gristle. Smoke level was just right. Subtle, not gag-inducing. Bark was fantastic!The house-made sauces are outstanding. Especially the hot sauce which just has a pleasant mild heat (unlike some places that try to burn your mouth out). I joked that I could use a straw to drink both sauces!They have a good amount of seating inside, including a side room. Only open weekdays at lunch and they do sell out early most days. Worth the trip!! We will be back!

Worst food I've ever had - cold, zero taste and the service was absolutely awful. The owner was so rude and condescending. I will NEVER go back there.

old dude at the register treated my like shit for no reason. not sure what his problem is but he wasn't exactly nice to the other customers either. casually cussed in conversation to staff and customers. the food is great, just bad experience with the redneck on register. put him on fryer and this is a solid five stars!

Great food great staff, really good Q and greR wings. def recomend they sell out early so get there
