Great place- order at the counter works well. Biscuits and gravy was delicious My daughter had an amazing meal as well. We will be back!

Fantastic casual breakfast/brunch spot. Order at the counter, take a seat, and they bring your food to you. The food all tasted fantastic with generous portions of classic breakfast items. The service was prompt and super friendly. Interior had plenty of seating available, even with the rush, and was nice and clean. Pricing was fair. Would definitely recommend and will likely return.

Fun breakfast place. Order at the counter, grab a seat and they bring it out to you. Outdoor patio is dog friendly. Had the quiche and biscuits and gravy. All delicious. Coffee was a little weak and self served.

The food was very good. Lots of flavor. The restaurant was very busy. Looks like it might have been a service station in its earlier life. You place your order at the counter and then find a place to sit and eat. They will not take your order unless there are tables available or you are ordering to go. I loved the atmosphere, you could watch thee food preparation. Soft drinks, coffee are self served. Looking forward to coming back. I believe there hours are 8am to 2pm.

We've been here twice when visiting Lex, delicious beignets, huevos rancheros and biscuits and gravy. Casual environment, great value.

Thought there'd be more to do in Lexington, so, though not really a breakfast eater decided to kill some time at this recommended place. Tried the beignets which I thought were better than average. The highly touted Jonny cakes which for sure are not my thing didn't convince me otherwise... still not my thing. The acoustics are horrible and it was loud, perhaps try the outdoor seating.

Rancheros were delicious. Surprisingly delicious and in Lexington not Texas. Menu included several unique entrees. Highly recommend for brunch or anytime of the day

Great little casual breakfast place close to campus with parking. You order at the counter, then sit and they bring the food to your table. It's mostly standard breakfast items, but a few interesting adds, like beignets and side item options that include spicy fries or cheese grits.We tried a few different items. For me, it was the BELT, basically a BLT was egg and cheese grits as the side. It was pretty good. I'm glad I tried the grits, although they weren't quite my thing. Others ordered the Cure breakfast with fries, a breakfast sandwich with breakfast potatoes and the Little Egg Doodle. Everyone enjoyed our food and we compared it with breakfast the day before (I rated 5 stars) and we were mixed on which meal was better. For me, this is solid 4. My girls said the bacon was really good.The place is old fashioned cozy, but nothing special inside. Wood table felt a little sticky. You get coffee or drinks yourself and water/soda is a large acrylic glass. Nothing wrong with any of that, but you get the feel.Menu is good, food is solid, service is fast, and prices are reasonable. The beignets were good, because it's a beignet and who doesn't like a warm doughnut with powdered sugar, but it wasn't a great beignet, just a decent one. I would go back and I could see this as a regular for students on a weekend.

Doodles is a cozy breakfast spot with a welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the corned beef hash, which had good flavor and perfectly cooked eggs, though the hash itself was slightly dry. My husband tried the biscuits and gravy, which were tasty but could have used a touch more salt. Despite being busy at 9:30 on a Saturday, the restaurant didn't feel crowded, and we appreciated the ample indoor and outdoor seating options. Overall, Doodles is a solid choice for a relaxed morning meal.
