Donut Express

My absolute favorite donut shop in Georgetown. I love that I can go at 3am after a night out, or 11:30 right before they close, and there will always be a good variety to choose from. Not to mention the owners are AMAZING. Always so so kind with smiles on their faces. Delicious donuts and a great experience every time I go!

I get donuts here about once a week and they are always amazing . The customer service here is always top notch as well. The owners are always friendly . The fact that they serve Ale-8 and Strawberry quick is also a plus because those are two of the things that keep me coming back. I always get the crunch donuts they are my favorite . You have to get in there early though cause they sell out quick.

I am finishing my donut tour of Georgetown with Donut Express. This was one that had a five star review, so I was expecting these to be the best donuts in Georgetown and was a bit disappointed.One positive I will say about the place is that they freshly fill the donuts on the spot, so if you want a cream, custard, or jelly filled donut, they will fill it as much as you'd like. The two cake donuts, the blueberry cake & the chocolate glazed cake were a bit subpar, as the outer part of the donut tasted a bit stale and the inside wasn't moist, so it tasted like empty calories. Both the crumb yeast donut & long john were soft and the maple glaze was delicious. I would have preferred more cream in the long john, but it was a good gooey cream.Overall, this was just ok. My advice is to stay away from the cakes and go for the long johns & yeast donuts.

My wife and I used to live in Lexington and would go to this place several times a week it's been years since we've been there but we talk about it all the time definitely worth a five star rating glad to see they're still operating

Great donut shop tucked away in the pioneer plaza which doesn't seem like is very active anymore. You've got them, a church, time warner and a pharmacy back there by the shell station on Lexington road. Great setup inside. They've been around for a number of years, I think I can recall my dad bringing home donuts from there every so often. Donuts taste fresh, not to doughy but not too firm. You pick whether you want custard or cream and they fill them right in front of you. Very neat.

Come one, come all, this donut place is the bomb! You have to get over early in the morning because they sell out fast. They have some great donuts and are not greasy. This family has been making donuts for ages and they are simple but good. The apple fritters are heaven. They have drinks and coffee and a few tables if you want to eat in. The holes are fabulous. Worth the drive.

This is my favorite donut shop.. like on the planet earth. Their donuts are so Cake like and perfect and they don't over pack it with too much glaze. It's perfect. I could eat here every day. I'd like to see them branch out and try some like maple bacon donuts or something interesting like that but I'll eat there either way.

I have lived out of Kentucky for 9 years and I STILL crave this Donut Express's maple, creme-filled long john. It has always been my favorite donut and this shop had consistently and simply THE best version of this particular donut I've ever had and I suspect I ever will have. The family who ran the shop were always welcoming, friendly, and I thought the prices were a good value for their high quality products.

Really enjoy donut express! They are a great midnight snack after shift at Toyota! But, the donuts are seriously great and always fresh! The maple is my favorite!
