Dogwood Barbeque

Yum!!! I was in town for an event at the university and decided to give this place a try. It was fabulous! The staff here are so very welcoming and accommodating. They explained where everything was, chatted with me a bit, and consistently went above and beyond for every customer. One elderly gentleman needed some help bringing his plate back to the table and one of the staff members helped him out--such a kind thing to do. The food here is also lovely! They stress the homemade aspect of their offerings and are SO excited to talk about their pies and dessert options! However, I had fabulous bread, salads, vegetables, meats, and a fabulous piece of chocolate pie. I highly recommend visiting this buffet-style restaurant!

They have a great salad bar and wide variety of healthy toppings as well as health conscious salad dressings. The staff is professional and friendly.Child minded menu and pricing as well. The dining room is decorated with antique toy tractors and restaurant equipment- it's a nice touch.

The food on the buffet is so good everything has an exceptional quality. The selection is limited however the quality makes up for the smaller selection. The service is impeccable and akin to the "my pleasure" service of chick fil a. The feel of the restaurant is a homey log cabin feel the atmosphere is almost like a home on Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Highly recommend this restaurant- if looking for homemade food!The fried chicken was cooked perfectly, couldn't enjoy the mashed potatoes enough. Delicious. Southern style cooking at its best. We ordered Joy's Favorite, which consisted of choice of two meats and three sides. Fried chicken, BBQ pork, mashed potatoes, Cole slaw and green beans. The food was prepared perfectly, on time and would highly recommend. They have a special door for carry out. Their pies were delicious too! Had chocolate and coconut cream. Both were huge hits. Delicious!

This is a nice homey looking place. The inside decor has a lot of antiques and has exposed wood beams and floors that gives it a cabin feel. They have a large private parking lot and also have a drive thru if you don't want to go in and sit down to eat. You pay at the register for the buffet and then find a spot to sit. It can get fairly busy depending on the time of day. I was here on a weekday around 2 and it was pretty busy. They have a large buffet. One is mainly soups and salads with all the fixings. The other is the hot foods. Everything was fresh and hot. They have the usual sides of mashed potatoes gravy, green beans and then have bbq pork, fish, fried chicken etc for the meat. They have a small area where they have homemade bread also and if you want pie or dessert your waitress will tell you what kind they have and bring it out to you. Our waitress was fairly attentive. The food was just not that great for me. The macaroni and cheese didn't have much flavor. I had the stuffed pepper soup and it was just ok. Overall it was a good experience, just not the tastiest food I've ever had in my life.

The smoked pulled pork was pretty good and I liked the peach tea they had. Also it wasn't super expensive for what I got and they got it to me pretty quick

This is a local favorite of mine!! Amazing barbecue and a buffet to delight all in your party. Then after dinner you can choose from fresh pie or cake.

We love the quality of food, the service, and the surroundings. However, don't plan to go on Wednesday or Sunday.

The staff is so amazing. We are from out of town and found it through a Google search and I am so grateful for that. The food is spot on and fresh. The fired chicken is perfect. I can't even list how everything feels like home cooked food and that you want to just keeping eating till you are so full you don't even know if you can stand back up. The staff is so kind and are on top of everything. Don't skip on this place it is a must go.
