We were referred to the DIxie Club by Strauss Tobacanist. There aren't many places that allow cigar smoking. We called ahead to make sure they had WIFI. It turns out they no longer offer public wifi (even paid), so that was a disappointment. Bartender was slow but pleasant, the regulars were friendly and the atmosphere is a neat, dive type neighborhood bar. Definitely stop by!

I'm reviewing their food menu as I don't drink. However I did take pictures of some their drink selection so if you're curious have a look at those. They have a party room in the upstairs portion of the bar that has several dart boards up there. Apparently they have dart leagues at certain times but other than that you can throw darts at any time up there. I'll go in depth about my own food in a second but my wife highly recommends their white chili and the bite I had of the pot roast hoagie was really good too. Now then...Meatball Hoagie Soft Pretzel With Beer Cheese What Is It: The hoagie comes with meatballs, cheese, and lots of pizza sauce on Italian bread. They also include either plain or bbq potato chips (I got bbq). The pretzel comes with salt and a cup of beer cheese. Presentation: They served my hoagie open faced which improves the look of the dish but probably not your shirt. The pretzel looks like a pretzel.6.5 out of 10Taste: I'll start with the appetizer which was the soft pretzel. The pretzel was nice and soft and had lots of salt. The beer cheese had a very strong flavour which beer cheese should have. Perfect for this application. The hoagie as I mentioned was as messy as could be. They probably could have gone a little easier on the sauce but the sauce did have yood flavour. They certainly didn't skimp on the meatballs here either as they just bulge out of the sandwich. I do think the open faced serving of this sandwich helps it too. Just be ready to use the fork they give you with it. Definitely a tasty option. Soft Pretzel With Beer Cheese: 8.5 out of 10Meatball Hoagie: 7.5 out of 10

Bar maid was a very mean and angry woman. "Regulars" matter. Others, not so much. I would not recommend stopping here for a glass of water.

I was faced with waiting at CVG for two hours and decided to take myself out for a drink. It was a $16 uber ride from the airport, which I think is a fair price. Airpopped tater tots go well with a pint of Yuengling's.

A dive bar....not really in a good way. If you didn't grow up here, you are definitely an outsider. The Bud is cheap....but this is the kind of place where Bud is an upscale beer.

The atmosphere: The atmosphere brings elements of the past and combines them flawlessly with elements of today. Articles detailing the history of the bar line the walls. The downstairs is a bar with a smattering of tables. I loved it. It felt just as it should. A nieghborhood atmosphere where you can catch a drink and chat with friends. The bar is a long wooden affair that puts you in mind of days gone by. Upstairs is a meeting room which can be rented. The new owners chose to echo the feel of the original bar here. You can play darts here any time it is not rented or being used for club which I am told is Monday night. The staff: the staff was completely friendly. Super helpful and wonderful. The owner Tim was cheerful and took a moment to introduce himself. The bartender who took our order was cheerful and upbeat. Quick to show us the food menu and give us the rundown of what was good. The food: First off I had a glass of white zinfendel. It was middle of the road. Just an edge of sweet and a proper rose. I liked it. I ordered a bowl of white chicken chili. It was fantastic. I will be back for more. The price is absolutely right at 5.75 for a good sized bowl and a rasher of tortilla chips. It was obviously homemade. For the main course I tried a pot roast sandwich served with chips. The pot roast was perfectly seasoned and provolone cheese perfectly complimented the roast. The bread is sour dough. A fantastic sandwich. The jist: this place has a very small menu. We tried all but two items on it in one trip but everything we ate was fantastic. The prices were perfect. We felt like important customers. The bar is well stocked. The remodel kept an old time atmosphere but also gave it a modern flair the place is clean as a whistle. See Matt Miller's photos for pictures of the food and atmosphere. A must visit in Erlanger.

The divi-est of the dive bars. I've only been twice but both times they managed to mess up the tab. It's super smoky and the jukebox is waaay too loud for how small it is in there. And this past time I was there someone had paid for what I can only describe as death metal to play for a LONG time. It's definitely one of those places that all the ol boys go to hang, but if you're looking for more than that I'd keep driving.

This neighborhood bar has been around since my childhood and you could not find a more inviting place to unwind. The establishment has been updated, under new ownership and a must see! The previous person reviewed obviously has a biased opinion! I think you need to come in and see for yourself. They have trivia nights on Tuesdays, wine tasting on Wednesdays and Bengal's specials for the games. It is my place to unwind and has been for years!!!

Awesome little bar. All bartenders take good care of clientele. White Chicken Chile is almost as good as my husbands. Really enjoyed this bar. Sat on the top deck and bartender was so attentive having to come up stairs to check on us never disappointed us.

It's my go to place for frosty cold beverages and good tunes! The owner has done a wonderful job with it by building a deck, a patio and an upstairs area that is good for a big group of people.
