Located in the former Dundee Tavern sits another Derby City Pizza. This place is popping up all over Louisville and Southern Indiana and I won't be surprised if it goes nationwide in the next 10-20 years lol, hey anything's possible right? What brought myself and my friend here was that they kept the original Dundee Dip, I'm glad they kept it but, not sure if they should've included it beings it's a Dundee original. They didn't keep any of the original signature drinks either. The inside I will say is basically a shell of Dundee where most it looks the same but, there have been changes made as well. This is supposedly a popular hangout for Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills fans. The few times we been here service has been good as well as the food, my friend really likes the lasagna while I either go for a hoagie or maybe an individual pizza. All of our experiences have been good here. We do plan on coming back again and again.

Nice little neighborhood spot. Longtime location of the Dundee Tavern, and the interior has a similar feel--super laid back, plenty of TVs to take in whatever games are on, friendly service. Good vibe.Food is fine to good. Apps aren't the greatest, I have to admit (fine for snacking on with one of the reasonably solid selection of beers, but none I'd feel compelled to go there for). Pizzas are a solid choice though. Base crust is that more crackery style, which I enjoy (well, let's be fair, I've yet to find a pizza style I don't like, so that comment is an FYI for those who have strong feelings on that subject). There's a thick crust option, but I've not had it.Good spot to watch a game, bring the team, or just pop in to enjoy a lie and a pint or two.

Decent food in a pinch, but pretty average. Not a particularly charming ambiance. It's going for a serious sports bar vibe, and the lighting and tvs everywhere are good if you want to be bombarded by many different games at once. I'd rather do the patio, where they periodically have live, local music. Staff is hard working and nice.

The boneless wings are great and the sausage pizza is just a good. The service was super fast and productive, one of people I ate with said a guy was super serious with him. The ambiance was nice and greeted you in with the wonderful smell of beer and pizza.

We visited the night after Christmas, and all through the pizza house, few were stirring except a couple of take-outs. Maybe a song there. We had purchased a coupon from WDRB some weeks ago, so we pulled the trigger on that usage. Our last visit into the building was when Dundee was on its last days. At that time you could tell the old soul of the place was waning. The service and food were both sub-par. Now, some months later, new owner and new business, we'll give it a go after two days of turkey, ham and beef.We have had Derby City several times in the past in the south end. On those occasions it was ok, not anything to write to congress about. The new layout and the old Dundee floorplan are not real far apart, some paint and minor updates to family pizza-place styling. A new pickup counter area and window into kitchen are present. That is an improvement from Dundee's rather odd carry-out pickup location. Sports bar is the motif. Lots of televised sports from any angle. The bar still in place where it was.We ordered a couple waters. I was hoping they would have Coke products, but twas not to be. My Coke Zero yearning would have to wait. I ordered a salad and a gluten free sausage/pepperoni. My partner ordered an individual sausage. The salad was decent proportion included tomato and cucumber Mostly iceberg lettuce and mozzarella cheese. Paired that with ranch dressing, in two pretty small takeout cups. A decent salad, although as often occurs with mass produced salads, I scored the core of the lettuce. The Irish judge drops a few style points there. The salad processing authorities need to beef up their technology to eliminate this rather irritating and unpleasurable knot of the lettuce head.Pizza's arrived timely. The individual is basically a large slice, cut up into smaller pieces. The gluten-free small is a 10" circle. Good crust, a rather sweet pizza sauce. Both were cooked spot-on. My gluten-free crust was crispy solid. There was no dough droop. Good amount of cheese, decent amount of toppings. I was happy to see they have options for crustless pizza to appeal to the carb conscious. Overall menu is not extensive, sandwiches, wings and lasagna also on the card.Service was adequate, although the server was not familiar with the Be Our Guest WDRB promo. That was sorted out. So, as in the past with other Derby City's, good but not great. We have had far worse pizza's. Louisville is fortunate to have many mid-priced pizza establishments of varying types of dough and ingredient makeup. Crafthouse, Hometown and Bearnos to name a few in the thin crust category. Derby City has expanded all over the area in last several years. There is a fan base obviously. On our next visit, we'll try some of the other offerings, the lasagna photo on the menu looked very promising. On this night our order was right around the $30 mark.

Pizza didn't look very appetizing, but my son said it tasted good. I feel like they should have remade one with as burnt as it looked.
