Daddy Vic's Soul Food

Tried this eatery after the place I wanted to try was unexpectedly closed. Once entering this establishment the food smelled good and my expectations had risen because of that.Unfortunately the vast majority of my food was bland, only the cabbage shined. My wife felt the same way with Chicken dinner as well.If the excellent friendly customer service matched the food, this could been rated higher. This is very large restaurant that used to be a day care that they converted during covid. There is ample parking on the property.

Wow!!! Such amazing food at Daddy Vic's in Louisville. You will be full and pleased at the same time. The staff is very pleasing and nice!! You will get that great southern hospitality!!

I actually had no intention of eating here. I just was hungry, and it was there. I'm very glad I did.The food is top notch. Good portions, and great flavor.

Daddy Vic's OVERstands the meaning of Soul Food!!!I love how they have the sink, double, outside of the restrooms. Nice touch!!!!I enjoyed the cafeteria line style setup. There's something about being able to see your food before eating. Everything looked fresh and hot.

Food was hot and good, plentiful. Customer service was nice. The place is nice and clean. Makes you feel at home.

The food and service was amazing! To begin the service was great. The staff were friendly and very helpful on making decisions about what to eat. We tried a little of everything on the menu. The pot roast was delicious, the catfish was even better and it was cooked to order. There was less than a minute wait and we dined in. The cornbread was perfect and the sweet potatoes were delicious as well. Everything was fresh, hot and the portions were generous. We will definitely be back soon and I recommend 10 / 10.

Ordered thru DoorDash, I got the fried chicken with Mac and cheese, fried cabbage, and cornbread. Everything was so delicious! The fried chicken was so crispy and juicy, the Mac and cheese was just the perfection of cheesy (my 2 year old couldn't get enough) and the cornbread melted In my mouth!

The bomb--you know it's good when they have that big fork, spoon, and knife on the wall!This place is a hidden gem! I came in for the KY derby as a visitor and left as family. The peach cobbler is AMAZING! The people are friendly and just good folks. Definitely a place to stop by when you are in town. Daddy Vic would be proud of his legacy.

One word, delicious. I had the fried wings, with spaghetti and potato salad as sides. 2 pieces of cornbread because I heard it was good and it is! The wings were crispy and meaty. The spaghetti was delicious! Also had peach cobbler that was also very good. The staff is very friendly.

Walked in to a wonderful surprise. The service was friendly and efficient. The environment was a clean and family oriented. Now for the most important part ....THAT FOOD WAS GOOOOOOD Chicken wings were juicy and had nice flavor brisket tasted amazing... burst of flavor in every bite. I am definitely coming back !!!
