Great time visiting the museum. Sad it's not the original, but great job making it like the original house, cool history!

My mom and I were in Southern Indiana for a day and decided to take a tour of the Culbertson Mansion after our lunch. Best idea ever! Chris and Hannah were our tour guides, although Chris gave the majority of the tour. Both were so knowledgable, and so passionate about the history of the house and its occupants. Never a dull moment. There is also ongoing restoration to the house, which means that they are still actively working to put the house back in its original condition. On the tour, we got to see some of the work being done, and the sheer volume of detail and care that was put into the restoration was really impressive. Well worth the $10 for a tour, and once more restoration is complete, we will definitely go back!

If you're in the area, it's definitely worth the $5 admission to visit this home. Tours leave on the hour. The young tour guide was enthusiastic and informed. The home is gradually being renovated, and it is fascinating to see the home in various states of repair.
